They were! We weren't expecting Croatia to be big on desserts for some reason, glad we were wrong. It was really crazy to find the aussie dessert, lamingtons, in Croatia as well. It made us homesick!

I really enjoyed that! I’m going to Croatia in September. I would really love to have a list of your top 10 to take with me. Do I need to make my own from the video or do you have one? I think you have the right upbeat personalities for KZbin and it comes through. It makes me want more. Laminations! I lived in Australia as a kid and remember them very fondly. Maybe they originated in Croatia and came to Australia from Croatia.

Lamingtons not being Aussie, now that is controversial! 😜 We had read that they became popular in Croatia in the 50s and this was likely due to the migration of a lot of Croats to Australia after WW2.

You may be right! We had a very similar dessert as well when we were in Ljubjana. In any case it is delicious!

It's called cocos koxice coconut squares where they got the lamination from
