I rushed home to see this and couldn't wait to see what you decided on for the painting today. My heart goes out to you and John, Praying and burning candles of healing to his mother. My grandparents raised me until I was in late teens. My grandfather suffered with Alzheimer's for the last 3 yrs of his life. He was the greatest man I have ever known. I know what your going through and I am sending all of my love and thoughts of comfort to you all...thank you so much for being a small part of my life. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 9 years ago. On my bad days painting with you is more therapeutic to me than anything I could ever explain in words. What a Blessing you are, my daily life is enriched by both of you.

My thoughts and prayers to your family. My journey with my dad and Alzheimer's is what led me back to painting earlier this year. The doctors, nurses, spiritual advisors and volunteers at Hospice are the most amazing people. This is a beautiful painting to dedicate to them. Thank you for all you do!

Art is healing. It really truly is, on so many levels. I have had a major depression and I have suffered with severe anxiety since I was a young child and art has saved me so many times. I'm in a place where I am in a good place mentally and art has become something I enjoy in a different way, I'm not just using it in a cathartic way, I'm learning and growing through it too. I'm working on my drawing of this, and am going to do the chakra colours like a rainbow behind Buddha. Love it.

Hi Cinnamon and John. Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful painting. I am on a spiritual journey at the moment and art has become a huge part of that for me. I also try to live mindfully and with compassion for all life. I'm sending lots of wishes and energy to your family. I have done a lot of work caring for people with alzheimer's (in a care home) and it was heartbreaking. It can seem like you can't find them but they are still there. I feel like maybe their spirit starts to move on before their body does. I believe that in the next part of their journey their spirit will be free of suffering. May all beings be at peace, may all beings be free from suffering.

I didn't get to catch the live today, but this evening while learning a little about your awesome Buddha, you reminded me of a book I'd read way back in my 20s. This book was incredible - the author was Paramahansa Yogananda. The book opened my eyes at that time. Then, in my early 40s, I came across Dr. Wayne Dyer and holy cow!! Yet another big eye-opener!! I only mention this because many, many times since I've discovered you, your words "intention" and "send" and the wishes you write into your canvases made me wonder if you were in fact talking about what I'd learned from my most favorite teachers. And today, sure enough, basically you ARE!! A person really can "send" love, healing, well-being to others. I've lost my path somehow, but used to, if I'd have an instance of road rage, and was quick enough, I'd think to that person I love you or the like, just little things like that you know and boy did that make a difference in my attitude, life and so on. Oh holy cow, this is sooooo long and I apologize, but what I'm trying to say is it's so AWESOME that you and John do this!! Not only am I learning to paint (which I have yet to do😫) but today you reminded me of a path I was once on. I've gotten lost, but today, because of you, I think I recognize those trees and yeah maybe that patch of grass looks familiar… Thank you and I "send" you and your family lots of strength and courage and energy

Peace be with you and your family during this time of transition. As hard as it is to be with a love one as they transition, it is a deeply loving and spiritual journey to undertake. No one should have to go through their transition from this life to what follows without the care and love of people around them. Whether they know you are there or not, you know that you were there for them. It means a lot to me that I was able to do that with my grandparents when they needed me. It is a natural part of our life journey and almost rejoiceful that it is happening after a life long and well lived. It still is hard and painful. Peace, love and light as a salve to your wounded souls.

I Just painted this buddha! I love how it came out! I love what you said about this buddha being at the beginning of his journey, and thats why he's blue and purple. That speaks deeply to me as I am just on the start of my spiritual journey. My plan is to do this same painting later on in life, when I feel that I have learned and grown. It may happen at the end of the year, it may happen in 5 years who knows (:

hi cinnamon, thank you for such a lovely painting! as much as i would love to paint this, I do not have pthalo green and pthalo blue. Its not easily available where I live either. I have an acrylic paint set with ultramarine blue, prussian blue, sap green and turquoise. Can I use any of them instead? Are there any other colours that you would recommend as a substitute for pthalo blue and pthalo green? I cant wait to get started on this painting!! Keep up the great work! Lots of love from India :)

She said at the start of the lotus piece that it's fine to use whatever you have for these. Ultramarine is fine & Sap will be fine too - you can always use a touch of Ultramarine to darken Sap green if needed or a hint of the Prussian to darken them further if you want colours much darker..

Hi Cinnamon!! I just have to say I love your channel and your lessons so much!! You have really been the catalyst for my painting journey! I was wondering if you could do a #BIGARTQUEST or tutorial regarding making the switch from craft paint to student acrylic paint in the tubes? I bought some student paint from Michaels and I'm finding that I use a ton more paint that usual or than I see you use. I'm trying to veer away from the craft paint, but the other is making me frustrated and that's not the journey I want to take. Thank you so much and thank you for spreading your love!!

Some craft paints have more quality then the student paints. Try Galeria acrylic :)

If I only had a cool yellow, like lemon yellow from system 3, which red would compliment it? Thanks Cinnamon.

Thank you for the beautiful painting. Hugs and thank you. Watching you choke up about Alzheimer's makes me sad. I have lyme and co-infections, and if I did so much research, I found late stage chronic tick borne diseases cause alzheimer's. Brain inflammation. If you want more info please . I can get you in contact with a facebook page that may have info to help.
