@starchildstrider i understand were your coming from, but all im hearing is penatonic this and penatonic that. im just saying, chris being a jazz/texas blues guitarist there may be something youd be interested in there. just check him out, youll be amazed!!! and i dont mean to be cocky here, it just aggravates me when somebody says that a guy like this is "supernatural" cause hes not. I agree with SRV32566, Star, if you like Duarte's version just say you like his better. Nither one is better than the other. I looked up Duarte's, he just sounds like a John Mayer / SRV guy. Not that it's not impressive, but I certainly wouldn't come on here and smash a dude's act up over it. And ps, I thought John Mayer did it better than Duarte.......maybe check Bonamassa out too if you want to keep finding people who I personally think are better than Duarte.

To all the chuds bagging on Buddy, you do realize he is playing this dead on in the style of Freddie King on purpose, hence the simplicity? Music is not a competition, you frustrated little jock wannabes. Duarte is awesome, and a super nice guy. So is Buddy. I've played with both, but don't take my opinion, ask Clapton what he thinks of Buddy, lol. KZbin up some of the clips of Buddy ripping it up with Mayall and Clapton.
