Seth, why not bring abrade against God-pharao's gift?
@Small_Panda6 жыл бұрын
As it would have been really bad had there been no gift to hit as most of the creatures had 4 toughness meaning besides hitting champion, freebooter and gift. It would have been a card stranded in his hand where just getting rid of the grave shuts down the gift just as easily and he can sustain grave hate more than artifact hate.
@brunononohay19646 жыл бұрын
But why dot redundancy? What you said doesn't justify.
@TheGahta6 жыл бұрын
the real question is, what do you take out for it? And thats thecrux of it, you probably wont find somethin to take out thats not much more versatile then GPG.
@Kestral2876 жыл бұрын
With multiple Consigns and Bombardments in main, blowing up GPG isn't something you need to go deep on anyway. The deck can actually beat a resolved GPG long enough to answer it, so it doesn't need to go in on more answers.

Did Seth miss lethal at 27:33 ? If you played Oasis and double pumped the Sifter Wurm you make it a 13/13 with trample, and the opponent only has 8 power worth of blockers and is at 5 life. Maybe he was worried about a one mana cycler making a drake? With the opponent only having one card in hand I'd of been tempted to go for it. Buuuuuut he won the match anyways so *shrug*

In my opinion, the deck should always run 4 bombardments. The card has three drawbacks: * It's slow. *It misses the last counter. * It's random. Having 4 bombardments increases our chances of playing two of them in a row, or even more if we're lucky. Each copy makes each other stronger, as they get faster, previous bombardments get online again thanks to the new counters and the randomess is diminished a little as you have more chances each turn of hitting the best permanent.

16:15 why not sac the scavenger grounds in response to them targeting something with gpg? I really like bombardment. Tried it in draft 2 times over the weekend and after realizing it hit lands, managed to blow up 3 lands one game. Land destruction in limited isn't usually good. But 3 for 1s and keeping your opponent mana screwed with it can be great! Not sure Memorial to war is great.
@MTGGoldfish6 жыл бұрын
God-Pharaoh's Gift is weird, since it doesn't actually target. If we let the trigger resolve our opponent can get back any creature they want, so the only time to use Scavenger Grounds is with the trigger on the stack (although as we saw there, the opponent can still cycle or mill themselves to get more cards in the graveyard).
@davidm54156 жыл бұрын

Does the 'W' key still fast tap lands for its first color if you hold it? This would be VERY helpful for Seth to start implementing to avoid timing out. Tap the first lands you need to pay the color part of the cost, then hold W and tap the rest so they tap quickly. Saves A LOT of time tapping, especially for X spells.
@MTGGoldfish6 жыл бұрын
I've never clicked the "W" key, so I have no idea. I'll have to try it.
@jasonoshman10796 жыл бұрын
I haven't played MTGO since switching to Arena, but I think if you hold the W key when you go to tap lands, it doesn't bring up the different options that land has for tapping (Like Scavenger Grounds for example), it just taps for the generic mana on the first click, or if it's a two color land it just creates the first color of mana in the text box. Basically it just adds the mana from it in one click and saves a ton of time, especially if you're tapping like 12 lands or something.
@joebritton14816 жыл бұрын
Will you be going to Arena. What if they offer to transfer cards from mtgo or offer equivalent priced cards
@Small_Panda6 жыл бұрын
@seth in the blue white drake haven match game 3 you should have started using your memorials of war to start attacking his blue mana as I was watching a ton of his cycle cards he cast since you could have destroyed them where all requiring blue mana. If you had attacked the blue mana earlier on I think game three would have went a lot better plus it stops a ton of his counter spells as they need double blue.

Mono red goblin horror is really prevalent plus, in game one it's best to have a deck with almost no creatures so that almost all your opponents removal is just useless. Though elves aren't a horrible choice, just a meta call. Plus not to mention he is playing a ton of wraths and elves is only good in the deck pre turn 3
