Back in 2015 I purchased my first brand new machine it was a 700 grizzly. I always dreamed about going into the show room and walking around looking at the bikes then sitting down to do the paperwork in person and experience all that fun.......But I never got so lucky. I was on the other side of the country for work for 6 months and my home dealership had a smoking deal. I wasn't going to be home for 2 more months so I had to wire my girlfriend the money and have her go buy it for me. Yamaha delivered it and when I came home 2 months later I had a brand new Grizzly waiting for me. I was kind of sad that I didn't get to experience the show room jitters and purchasing rush but it was a savings of 3 grand so I had to jump on it. But every time I see someone in the show room getting their new bike I think about what I missed out on. Congrats on the new bike.

@@NOTTApro142 but... Why? Is it just 'that's for quads'? Are quads not as cool and therefore it's seen as bringing down the bike? I just don't understand 😅
@NOTTApro14210 ай бұрын
@@jameshealy4594 no. It's preference really, but thumb throttle are mainly seen and come stock on quads because the bars do not require as firm of a grip and control as on dirtbikes. Dirtbikes have twist throttles mainly. When you put a thumb throttle on a dirtbike it looks unnatural. And is harder to use than on a quad.

Howdy Mike. As someone who started dirtbikes late in his life (30 about 4 years ago) don't skimp out or shrug off rider protection - especially when it comes to knee protection. Vest, elbow protection, knee BRACES (leat are fairly good for a relatively low cost), etc. I shrugged off that for quite a while up until I hyper extended my right knee that screwed me up for at least a year (I still feel it on most days).

Mike a trick to not braking levers is just make the clamps tight enough that they stay but if you smack it, itll move! And buy a few air filters lol, and a spare bolt kit! Check bolts every few rides, I almost lost a fender haha😂. And hold on with your legs!!! Squeeze hard and relax your arms! It will take a long time to build muscle where you don’t get so tired. It took about 2 summers for me and i can stand the whole time now.
