In this video we are building a drawer & slide out table for my SUV camping setup with my grandpa! We built a bed platform in the back of my 2016 Toyota Rav 4 and we've been obsessed ever since but today I want to make some changes to it!

At first I was just like ok her grandpa is helping because he’s more experienced than her but then the more I watched him work I was so surprised because he is actually a very skilled carpenter. Carving that slot for the leg stand at the end was absolutely insane, he’s a great woodworker. Hoping my drawers and platform come out at least half as good 😂😅

Love your grandpa and these are memories being made you will charish. I like the drawer and table idea, I think the only difference I would do is to make a cover on the drawer that is a table when rolled out and do the same in the second side so you would have 2 long drawers that when pulled out, have a lid that can also be a table. More storage for canned goods, clothes, etc.

isn't he the best?! and LOL we have camped on just the seats a few times. if they lay flat and not on an angle its actually not bad at all, but our seats are on a huge angle and it's super uncomfortable so this was our solution to that. good luck with yours!! :)

Backseats are still there, just folded down them down! I wanted something I could remove easily and still use the seats. I have a full video all about how I built it if you check my videos! :)
