Love the look of the yellow wood, and watching you create the wheel was amazing. I have a Les Leston wheel on my MGB that I found in a junkyard. Luckily, I was able to stabilize the wood on the wheel. Now it is the best looking thing on the car.

Hey Div, back in the mid 60's when I was building VW bugs, I used to cut down the original steering wheels to 12-13" diameter, they are still light steering at that dia. Nice job you've done there mate, I couldn't ever work that good with wood, my old Woodwork teacher at high school used to tell me that "I was the worst thing to happen to timber since the Termite". Great job on that steering wheel, it turned out beautiful. I tried making one once and my router grabbed some end grain and snapped the wood piece off and throw it across the shop.

Haha, sharp! There are actually methods for bending wood. One involves steaming the wood until it's more pliable, the other is laminating where the wood is cut into thin strips that can bend and then clamped and glued together against a form
