In factories where there is heavy traffic, they use gasoline to put on the final trowel finish. It hardens the surface of the concrete tremendously. (And turns it black) It really works well and is a good cheap way to do a hard finish to slow wear down a lot.

Joe Dugas Rebar and mesh is not for freezings but rather to make the slab stronger and help mitigate cracking, locking etc. you can use fiber glass reenforced concrete to not use rebar and mesh but the best way to make a strong long lasting slab like the burn out pad is fiberglass reinforced concrete and mesh and put in precrack lines or expansion joints.

FD is based out of set tracks such as Long Beach, Atlanta & Orlando. They don't really set competitions at other tracks. Its been the same track routine for quite a few years now.

I did blacktop for years, brings back memories. We did a airport -private- and all kinds of paving. We once did a golf course where we dumped on a huge tarp then skid loaders carried the asphalt to the paths.

Know what would be cool is if in the center of the burnout pad the concrete was colored the color of the logo in the logo was written out in concrete in the dye color but that is extremely simple but that would be cool if the actual concrete that was poured the section was the logo in the color of the concrete that was poor in that section but that is extremely extremely extremely expensive insanely expensive but that would be cool and I would not imagine even get hurt do that anyway to get the right dyed Concrete in the right spot and not fill it over and do it right and that would be cool but let me tell you I had a buddy of mine do a driveway in different colors cuz his wife wanted it that way and it cost him seven times as much as it would have normally cost to pour a driveway

But I just had to come here and say what a top notch crew bossman has assembled. So many times I've seen lazy crews trying to stretch out a job. But these boys were on the ball. Pour some concrete curbing on the infield corners. It will save the asphalt and keep the track looking clean by keeping drifters from blowing out the grass. Nice 30 degree curbs would kill

Redoing the entire track is the best option the migrate further water damage, You can see all of the cracks on the surface, The amount of water that flows under it is why there are tons of pot holes and damage in the track already, Patches do not work, Never have, That is why people hate it when they do patch jobs they end up worse after the fact. With the new asphalt on the track blocking previous water routes will create more damage above creating pockets of water that will flush out fine sediment and sooner or later will cause an area to hollow out until enough force/weight is applied to the asphalt and collapse creating a new pot hole, While that new hole will cause more damage.

Now, not only do you have a cool toybox full of toys, you have about the raddest sandbox any dude could want! Also, Yes to the SxS track with all the excess dirt. You have more than enough property and the noise is a non-issue, and since you already have the greatest playground for paved stuff, why not have a sweet SxS track? Talk to someone to design a freestyle/circuit layout (you have more than enough dirt) and go to town!
