That's pretty good to have original doors in such good shape .not to often that a 92 year old piece of a car you get to see the real thing like it came from the factory ! Good video of the fit/repair of this 32 Derek !

Thank you for your videos, my dream is to build my own 32 Ford. Had bought some part thru the year but lost most of them when I divorced so starting over 🤷 only part left is a pair of headlights

You're not alone. Been there and done that. Had to buy my house back after my divorce at 2X what I paid for it the first time. Fortunately I met the camera lady and she liked old cars and we rebuilt. It took time but we're here now.

Tim, yes, I'm going to epoxy prime the inside of the doors, both sides. Hopefully tomorrow if it's warm enough.

The two holes on the side of the cowl are most likely the holes for the sidemount tire bracket.

That could be then. For now we're not filling them. It's only on one side.

Coming out nice . I never knew the 32 lower cowls unbolt. Now is that only on the roadster , what about the truck or sedan ?

All 32 Fords have the cowl band bolts that tighten the cowl around the firewall gasket. It's the only year the firewall wasn't welded to the body too.

Did you weld the base of the pillar with tension applied, or do you adjust it to be in a neutral position first ?

The drivers side A pillar was twisted slightly so the bar allowed me to straighten it some. When I figured out that the hinges were bent and then I straightened them there was no tension needed to hold the A pillar when I welded it.

@@TheCanadianBubba all the lower hinges were bent, maybe from swinging them open over and over I guess. They should be flat.

This will definitely be a hot rod. The owner has a Winters quick change rear end, 5 inch dropped I beam, split wishbones front and rear, Cadillac 331 engine. Very traditional hot rod.
