as someone who absolutely loves this game and the overall genre of otome: this is probably the funniest video I've watched in a minute. most people who play these games know how silly the genre is and there is a reason it's a niche of a niche. it's not for everyone but it's always fun and refreshing to see someone's reaction to these games when it's not for them

Bustafellows is the least horny otome game. I'm serious. The writers wanted to just write the story, but hot boys are what sell so they shoehorned in a kiss scene for each guy at the end(s). Take that how you will.

I just jumped into this game and honestly 😂 it's very good. Probably by far one of the best otome I've ever played. The story does get incredibly interesting and the characters show off their personalities well. Once you make choices that lock you into one of the guy's routes, the story gets serious and emotional and deals with some interesting dark issues. The choices begin to have high stakes, where 1 wrong choice could potentially give you a dreaded "Bad End". Personally Limbo's route is tense and expresses the theme of "What is justice? Where is the line between good and evil?" In a really impressive way, especially his 2nd Bad End.

@@PearFinch This is two months later but honestly it depends on what device you use to play these games, there's a lot of good ones that AKSYS puts out on the Nintendo Switch, but for Steam games I also ended up playing Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly and Amnesia: Memories (otomes in general can get pretty crazy so if out of pocket things dont float your boat, be weary of what you're playing)

I don't think I've ever played a visual novel, at the risk of any of them suddenly turning horny( Just not my thing). I did however play 13 Sentinels, which is the closest thing to a visual novel I've ever played, and that game is awesome.

But honestly, the audiences of those genres deserve good content, too, so asking for the games to be of better quality is important. Bravo is niche, but they don't sit on their hands and hope the critics are nice to them, they make good shit.

I'm not into them visual novels but highly recommend Murder By Numbers. It's a visual novel with lots of picross puzzles you do to uncover clues in a series of murder mysteries. Also, it's very camp and you have a talking robot buddy and it's set in the 90s so your robot buddy is basically a floating Amiga.
