I have a Polestar 2 and it’s brilliant even though it’s an old design built on an ICE platform. Is not noisy at all and the infotainment just works, no lag, and even the voice control actually works. I came from a tuned BMW 4-series, which is a fantastic, sporty car but for a daily the Polestar 2 is just a better car! However the Polestar 2 is mainly a good and affordable car. The polestar 4, the dual motor with some extras that is so nice and seriously quick! I haven’t driven the Polestar 3 but check out the car wow review, Mat can’t stop praising it!

Exactly, I have the Seal and unless you're driving 500kms a day, the range and charging will not be a problem. As it's my first EV I was a little anxious about it but quickly realised it's a non problem. I have a 7kw charger at home, that's 10hrs to fully charge. I have solar and an electricity plan that let's me charge at 8c per kw between 10am and 3pm each day, so on wfh days we top it up. At most it will cost me $7 minus solar to fully charge. I recently did a 1500km 8 day holiday and charged at my hotels/cabins every night, ended up only costing me $12 in fast charging once because I needed to top it up before a big leg. Edit - this is an Australian experience

Owner of an ID4 with the Lotus on order. We had been looking for an EV for a while, but I hated not having the buttons for basic things like HVAC. Finally a VW dealer said keep the car for a week, if you still hate it, don't buy it. What I found is that once you have everything set up, you don't really touch it, the stuff you do touch (radio mostly) can be controlled by a button on the steering wheel, no need to go through menus on a screen. What really stood out to me was the driving tech, the ID4 is so much easier to drive than my wife Mercedes GLE. The charging isn't an issue, again VW salesman explained it perfectly, treat it like a phone, get home, put it on the charger, life is good. Again, filling my wifes car is, well it's something I don't enjoy doing, crazy right.

indicators.... basically every single Japanese import is the same. In a manual car it make smuch better because you can indicate as youre changing gear too which is nice. if you think about it, its a very british problem, because in europe where the cars are left hand drive, the stalks are the same as we have, so they indicate and change gear a the same time as well, it;s just that when they convert cars to right hand drive for us, they dont swap the stalks round in european cars.

9:36 it's actually funny you say this Yian cuz there's been a LOT of stories of people who've bought teslas claiming that whenever they'd be driving the cars, they'd have headaches, brain fog, nosebleeds, nausea, some would vomit, and many more symptoms that they said didn't happen in other cars, and resolved when they got rid of their tesla and got a different car, some speculate it's because of the terrible build quality and leaks which enable mould to grow in large quantities very quickly in the bodywork of the car without you seeing it, again these are all claims and I'm not defaming tesla, there are just many similar stories like this online, and it might be something interesting to look into.

I’ve got an ID.3 with the 58 KWh battery, I’ve done about 4,000 miles in it since getting it, and only spent about a total of 1 hour at fast charging points… and that was purely because I had to do a 280 mile round trip on a few occasions… just get a home charger and you’ll never look back 👀

That BYD would be great because it gives you a luxury fee and you can't lose much money on it when it's that cheap.

Historically, RHD cars have the indicators on the right for ergonomics, we hang our elbows on the sill, left hand on the shifter. Easier to indicate with the right hand. SInce UK is RHD but in Europe, and Europe is predominantly LHD, car manufacturers simply wont change the layout of the stalks. JDM cars have indicators on the right, and much of RHD Asia as well.
