BYD, the Chinese automobile brand, launched their first car E6 in India in 2019. Upon receiving great response from fleet operators and private buyers, they are now all set to launch their second product - Atto 3. This has been finally revealed in India and the bookings are on now at Rs 50,000. Prices aren’t out yet, but we expect it to be launched over Rs 30 lacs. The claimed range is 521kms (ARAI-certified), but we expect it to offer a realistic range of around 400+.

If we ignore that fact that it's Chinese, the interiors are so good! It's also a fact that their blade battery is the best production EV technology in the world right now. Hope Indian cars come with such fresh designs.

Why do you need to ignore the fact that its Chinese? They are superior in manufacturing, automotive and batteries. Of course its going to be likened to the Japs and how they revolutionized the industry. The Indian EVs are at a good start, but will never compare to this.

Byd are worst cars I have used this car in byd e6.company officials are lie ers. Can nt really on this byd.anytime battery go empty without and warning. Create panic.it happened with me 5 time in a month.company know that but they don't have answer.

People who live in china is so lucky. They have lots of option to choose from EV cars brands like nio, Tesla, xpeng, li, BYD, geely, changan and so on. They even have the proper infrastructure to run EV cars , i may not be able to buy EV cars in this life but will sure visit sanghai autoshow for once in my life. Love from Arunachal Pradesh ♥️

Worth the price truly a refreshing and amazing car.. Interiors are aspiring at par with the the modern Era.. Even though it's a Chinese car but they way the Interiors are planned and laid out is truly justifiable for its price tag... One heck of car

These Chinese Cars are scoring 5 🌟 in Euro NCAP test where most India manufactured cars which are scoring good in Global NCAP will probably score lower in Euro NCAP so I think this car will be in safer side

Only get to know quality when it will collide on roads. Companies sell different quality products in different markets. Lets see what quality is sells in India. Chinese cars are poor in safety in general.

Ground clearance is a major problem ..its 175mm unladen ..for reference Nexon EV has 205mm ..will definitely scrape a lot on our roads

Stiffer suspension helps stop sagging, don't go by numbers, wheel base is big but stiffer suspension also helps here, without drive don't comment, we are not mature enough to comment without test drive.

For everyone chanting patriotism and saying not to let chinese automakers enter the market, for god’s sake please shut up. Some of the chinese automakers produce great and reliable car and as long as indian government allows them to invest in india i see no issue. Like even in nexon ev: EV Components like battery pack, Electric Axle Drive(Motor) + Controller Combo is sourced from Cheap China Source as kit. Infact, probably batteries are cheapest older gen Vehicle batteries produced out of China, not the latest ones which have higher density, power pack values and reliable SOC. So essentially what TATA has done is only Vehicle integration of these kits and small calibration or Tuning to modify as per drivability requirements. And yes I still HATE ccp but have great respect for innovation and competition in the market just means more innovation.

Excellent car .. it will sure revolutionise the EV segment if ignoring Chinese sentiment . Few things to pick few - 1) on dash board infotainment looks like a big monitor which can absolutely give an obstruction in viewing. Infotainment should be embedded in dash board itself and 2) as a car enthusiast, with such small sized speedometer won’t give that punch . Always speedometer and RPM should be in traditional revv styling …

THE PRICE WILL BE @ Launch 🚀 Same as MG ZS EV. Base variant - 23.7 Lakhs Top variant - 27.81 Lakhs PS Nexo EV max is 20.7 Lakhs (Almost everything is made in India - FYI) also the wait is ridiculous.

@@chethansagar Have my sources in TML, although you can look up who is the largest ev component manufacturer also almost every automotive manufacturers import major components from china which is why production was hit heavily during corona since most factories halted the production. Also yeah this is a fact and you can look it up

Not saying do not buy BYD.. looks and feels way better car than Nexon obviously, but think of the Marco impact to the future of automotive. Again, just a personal thought and it’s not an advise.

interiors of nexon ev and xuv400 ev do not have that electric car feel. Same small infotainment and usual centre console etc. Hope this will give them some ideas for improvement

OnePlus Oppo Vivo Realme Xiaomi Poco Motorola Nokia sab Chinese brands hai, 10000-30000 mei Samsung (Korean) se 10 times acche aur reliable phone banate hai. Apple products bhi China mei bante hai(recently in India too by Chinese manufacturer Foxconn). Apne ghar mei appliances k piche ka label padhna kabhi, most parts come from China.

Old BYD E6 taxis are already running in china clocked 8 lakh kms on odo with same battery and Motor. 10 years ago BYD was giving 300+ kms of range better than Nexon.

There are hundreds of EV brands competing fiercely in China. Their level of designs, manufacturing, reliability, quality, safety, etc... already way over TATA evs. Current level of TATA will not survive in China. Just from my observations.

@@biggwong6912India has millions of engineers in every street and corner of the country. Most of them are jobless and rest end up working in IT companies, so that means there's something wrong in the education system

When Indian government and state government is purchasing then ?Giving them the contract to build railway network and other tender then ?Currently thousands of ev buses by BYD is running on Indian road sponsored by indian and state government then why dont you put up a question?You raised the questions when its come to favour the common man 👨. Basically the people likes you are the emotional fools and no body cares about you .

Hehehe.. may be but because of the govt protectionism ( reservation ) and high import duties.. other wise there is zero chance that Tata will win over BYD . Tata donr have core technology.. Even though it may win , Tata will still buy parts from china . Not even talking of the battery

This is as close as a TESLA car. Anyway Tesla is not coming to india. so BYD is the only option. it may be Chinese, but seems quality is as good as German cars.

More Tech in the car might be a serious problem with little hit from out side to car ।Front Instruments turning system might get damaged very quickly if sudden hit from front ।All the service might be good for to review for customer ।

I have used the BYD tang for a week which is 7 seater proper SUV segment electric vehicle and I can tell you that their battery technology called BLADE is efficient enough in Hot weather but it is not that efficient in colder weather compared the technology being used by Tesla, WV, Merc, Audi, Polestar, Hyundai, Kia or other electric car manufacturers. However BLADE technology is considered to be the safest battery till the date.

literally every ev platform suffers in winters beacuase batteries just dont perform optimally in cold

Hi Abhishek, Every EV struggles in cold climates. I have owned Tesla model X and model 3 in the past therefore I have the experience of not only the Tesla’s but also other EVs like merc and BMW as owner. My point was BYD consumes more KWH compared other brands in cold weather which makes it least efficient in cold weather.
