Good morning Corvette Dan, great video ! I have a 1999 C5 Corvette and I have been having the same issue. CSF doesn't appear on my DIC at start up but it pops up every 10 minutes or so while driving. I have a new battery put in a few months ago but same issue. I have been told by a couple of folks to replace the alternator. But I'm going to try what you came up with and will get back with you. Before you dump money on an alternator, check it first. Start the car, pop the hood and grab a voltmeter. Carefully check battery voltage across the terminals. If it reads 13.6 or higher, your alternator is functioning as it should. Don't waste money. Please reply when you check it so I know. If you need an alternator there are other things to mention. Had and 01 Vette. Its was an awesome car, however I had a bunch of electrical issues to sort out. Made it hard to enjoy the car, so I eventually sold it.
