It may seem cold but an economy can only provide for a limited amount of individuals...weather it be housing or providing work, care & policing the population.... if the population of a country grows larger than what an economy can sustain then it begins to breakdown & begins to collapse rather than prosper.....

John, you!'re absolutely right. England is seeing the worst of it. Here, in Califotnia we have the room and the money to sustain to keep. the welfare wheels turning, but England is becoming such a dump due to the high ideals of dreamers and the onslaught of desperate people. What they and we could not foresee was that those "huddled masses" would tutn out to be the "marauding masses" who want our property and what they see as our good life. I think freedom and opportumity are the last things on their lists. I hope I'm wrong!

JM Designs I like factoids & that seems a plausible hypothetical one. Altho, even with the huge land mass Australia has it isnt just a country, but an entire continent in it's self, it has very strict immigration laws. What time trying to get at is the fact that the UK have only taken in 300 Refugees from Syria. where as most other European countries have taken in 100k + Note i said refugees not migrants. because that is what they are. That photo of that little boy washed up on the beach was fleeing his home because it was getting bombed, this is exactly what you and your family would do, if we had the same happen in the UK we would flee to Ireland or Scotland. Do you honestly believe they would travel thousand of miles and risk their lives for £50 a week? Without migration, European society and economy would bleed to death. There is no end to migration in the near future. The overall problem when dealing with immigration, is the need to first ascertain where these people have come from:- If they are from Commonwealth Countries (most likely not Australia, Canada, or New Zealand - there the immigration goes the other way), this can be seen as 200 years of imperialism coming back to bite us. If they are from Eastern Europe, this can be seen as 20 years of moronic EU policy coming back to bite us. If they come from the Middle East, this can be seen as 100 years of never ending scheming and meddling in that particular region coming back to bite us. It is easy to say" Go back to where you came from", but do not forget that British Muslims are actually born and educated here. They are in the unenviable position of trying to combine two different worlds. That is no easy. We do not want to change you lot but we would like to see our children getting balanced Islamic education along with National Curriculum. We would like our children to learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time we would like our children to learn and be well versed in Arabic, Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with their cultural roots and enjoy the beauty of their literature and poetry. A Muslim is a citizen of this tiny global village. He/she does not want to become notoriously monolingual Brit. Bilingualism is an asset but British schooling regards it as a problem.
