I find It creepy how quick they just blindly assume Ghosts are just Animals & Humans messing about showing they can't isolate out something actually ghostly. Not to mention them using temporal psychosis that only shows in "Haunted areas" with no clue how silly and ableist It sounds. Not to mention they don't even listen with good headphones like the ER4XR or DT 1990 PRO's, I also wonder what monitor they use when they fail to see something clearly visible on screen.

Nice one mate, for getting £300 for your charity, as for the noise, I recon it could have been a rabbit or something small like that, like a Stoat or a Wessel. I have been told a few ghost stories, where i used to work, was stated to be haunted, One lad who was a right nasty piece of work, was down at the bottom of the warehouse, where the lorries would come in, and the other lad who was on shift, was up the top of the warehouse, sorting stuff into the racking. So there were only two of them, and the place was quiet. Anyway, the lad down the bottom was sweeping the floor, when he happened to look up and see " someone" walk into the boiler house. He legged to the top of the warehouse where the other bloke was to report it, and he was told that the place was haunted. To the day he left, he wouldn't go down that part of the warehouse on his own again. One more, another one was at Xmas time, the place was locked up tight. The alarms went off, and the police and management who were on call at the time, met up in the car park, to sort what ever was going on. The police found no one in the place, so while they were all in the canteen, a noise was heard from down the bottom of the corridor, they all realised someone was down there in reception. So they went to investigate, when they opened the reception door, they saw a computer on, and the keyboard going 90miles an hour, and a load of letters on the computer screen. I never saw anything while i worked there at all, but a few people on night shift did say they saw a few ghosts. The lad who i told me these two stories, did see a few, and stated its only a shadow you see, but nothing is there to make it, and i was told the exact same thing from a former supervisor. Him and his wife investigates haunted areas and found a few things too.

Hi Dan , good on ya mate for sticking the night out, but you got your reward for the food bank. Definately a two legged something was moving about pretty close I reckon, maybe a local had seen you enter the wood and came to suss you out mate. I didn't believe in ghosts but having seen something in a pub I couldn't explain, plus the wife saw it too, now I'm not so sure. And our minds are open to pre- suggestion, so things can get out of your control, we have primative instincts that come into play in your situation, and if your gut feeling says get out of there then I say follow your feelings and leg it. I whish you well on the abandoned village , thanks for the video, stay safe, best wishe's, Stuart Uk.

In old folklore Germanic for example, they believed that the land and trees had spirits attached to them called wights. These were known to be a bit pesky and sometimes even nasty. They were usually appeased with offerings of bread, milk or ale/mead
@TheQueensWish7 ай бұрын
Is that how the Isle of Wight got its name then?
@wihtgar70167 ай бұрын
@@TheQueensWish Supposedly, the IOW got it's name from king Wihtgar, who was given the island (as was his brother) by his uncle Cerdic, 1st king of Wessex, in 534 AD. But the idea of the island being named after nature spirits is a very interesting one considering how haunted the island is and I will have to research that further for my book. So thank you very much for the idea as I had never made that connection before.

Hi dan, as a professional investigator and paranormal sceptic (albeit an open minded one) If you really want to get to the bottom of this, I would start by getting full permission from the landowner to investigate there and then set up equipment there such as night vision cams and various animal tracking cameras covering all angles around you and then the hard part which is spending the time there probably anything from 20 to 30 hours if possible (easier said than done I know). And then perhaps upload the raw uncut footage onto your page so your viewers can also run their eyes over it incase you missed anything when watching the footage back as there's seems to be some eagle eyed people who spotted the bush moving behind you. This is time taking and patience testing however it is the best way to investigate it. There is no doubt that those footsteps can be heard loud and clear and they do infact sound like a person walking along through woods, but before we jump to it being a ghost or some kind of entity we need to rule out every other possibility, you already ruled out a few in this video such as cows and the equipment you use, I was impressed at you having the mind to debunk this and rule those out. If you do all this and investigate and no logical explanation can be found, then what you're left with is possibly some very impressive unintended paranormal evidence. Good man on sticking it out for the night after your previous experience there and getting that dollar for a very important charity that is helping so many struggling families in this country right now. I look forward to future videos :)

The footsteps were as clear as day. I thought someone was with you. I was seriously spooked one night while camping in the woods by myself. The woods had about 5 inches worth of dry leaves covering the ground everywhere. I could listen at night and figure out what animals were around. One sounded like heavy dragging footsteps but it was not a person. It was a gopher tortoise. It comes out of its burrows to feet at night. But one night it was already getting dark as I came through the woods to my tent and I just hopped into my tent. I had barely zipped up the tent and sat down when I heard sniffing all the way around my tent. It was sniffing the walls of my tent and I did not hear one single leaf crunch as it did that. We got mountain lions (not common), bears (also not very common), raccoons, possums, flying squirrels, deer, armadillos, gopher tortoises, and small creatures, but what could walk around the outside of a tent sniffing the walls without crunching a thick pile of leaves covering everything. I never found out. With all the sniffing I did not want it to get the idea of coming into my tent so I hollered real loud and the sniffing stopped but no treating footsteps. Now I did not know if it left or was just standing there not sniffing. Creepy.

You’re a good man Dan, well done for staying all night. Xx

The silver birch leaning over in the background at 7min 29sec in has a leafy young tree growing behind it to its right about 4-5ft in height. The young tree is then pushed to the right, it could have been the wind but nothing else moves around it. It's weird.

I think it's a weird thing hearing noises when your by yourself and left in your own mind in the woods by yourself. I think it's birds jumping through the trees, when the branches are close enough they tree hop. If I was by myself in the woods though and not in my home watching this I'd be put of there thinking the exact same thing. Ahhhhhh it's footsteps let's go

Good video Dan & for a good cause, the noise definitely sounds like someone walking through the woods but on much drier ground & a different sound to when you were walking around? I think some time lapse overnight footage of you in the hammock would've been a nice addition to this video, especially when someone is coming up with such a generous donation 👍

i go fishing and hear this noise of crunching a lot it is small animals like a rabbit or small rodents eating vegetation you will be surprised how loud this sounds from a small animal or it could be a mole digging or rabbit digging

Those footsteps were very clear and they sound like someone walking in dry leafs/grass. Your footsteps don't even sound the same when you walk, Dan.

My great grandkids are asking do you pick up any of the manmade rubbish on the way back to your vehicle? The kids bring garbage bags when we go hiking in the woods, and they enjoy picking up trash that others so carelessly leave behind! One of their favorite sayings is - *If you can bring it with you, YOU CAN CERTAINLY take it back with you!*

They straight up sound like footsteps, and yet they sound different to your footsteps when you're walking about. The sound was crunchier, like dry leaves instead of soft grass. I don't know about people spirits randomly wandering around in woodland but there's all types of spirits, anyway. Don't know what this was. I've seen leaves rubbing in patchy wind that sounded like footsteps, but I didn't notice any wind in the video
