Hey, trees don't grow that way - I"ve seen barbed wire grown into a tree but not raised up in the air as the tree grows. Love the videos. We were in MT back in June and love it there - 3 trips in 18 months.

Yes, it is a common mistake to think something nailed to a tree will lift up with tree growth, but tree trunks only grow bigger in diameter.

Oh, you're right about that! It's just strange that it would be up that high on a tree.

That Yamaha is a great little scooter, its good you have it because if your car ever quit in the backwoods, it gives you an alternate way to get back to get help. You could get a "luggage Rack" from the dealer and mount behind the seat so there is a back rest for your passenger as well as a way to attach a extra bag or cooler, you have saddle bags those are great to haul your gear and jackets etc. Good choice I have been riding motorcycles since 1971 and have two road bikes at the house but rode offroad for maybe 25 years, its a good way to get way back in the woods, love that waterfall boy I sure am jealous

Trees elongate from the tips, not from the roots. Nail something to a tree at 4 feet, 50 years from now it'll still be at 4 feet. Trees just add layers (rings) everywhere but the tips.😊

I would like to share with you a troublesome campsite story, just south of Rico Colorado I found a outrageously great site with more good points that I can count! but this one too not only had hundreds of flies, but also gangs of ravenously hungry chipmunks! chewing holes in my jackets looking for dog treats, making a mess inside the truck and then went after the solar wiring! it was only a one night's stay! Happy trails to you "sleazy riders"!!

Great bike. It was interesting your water test came out good in that stream. As a kid growing up in the mountains of Colorado we just drank out of streams and never worried about it. Then I lived in Alaska and same thing we just drank out of any small stream. That was a few years ago. I live in Idaho now and I’m pretty careful of the streams. It’s not the same as 60 years ago. Glad to see you carry a hand cannon. I even carried one in my yard in Alaska.

Good job Rick the Yamaha 200 is a good bike, I almost bought one but ended up buying a Yamaha xt250, I felt I needed more speed going from one country town to another. They are much more practical than an electric bike. The xt250 will get 80 mpg and top speed is 80mph, it will run all day long at 65mph with little effort. The 200 will also sip the fuel and very reliable. Good enjoyable video. Best wishes. Ken.

Good luck with the new bike looks like a good one. I think my nephew has the same one. I am keeping my old van going and it's 24 years old. I was a Honda Supper Sport racer back in the late 70s and 80s. Crashed at 150+ MPH one time, but am still here. My last sport bike was in 2000 a Honda CBR600F4. I plan on getting a Honda Trail 70 like I had as a kid. They are street-legal and well-built for off-road trail riding but small for two people. Thanks for the video and have fun guys.

pouring water on the plague on the tree , the grave marker, to bring out the words cleaner to read the waterfall is a good place to turn blue after a shower right rick and linda? on the straps on the motocycle ramp there should be a strap from the top of your trailer in the middle to the outside of the ramp in the middle for added bounce on the offroad parts and the stop and go of the street, is the rear tire on a support or is it free floating ?cant see it in the picture. the gonagain couple completed another journey for the books, thank for the view rick and linda oh and great bike ,

“Bad Boy” you mean “Bad Influence”, now you’ve got me thinking, I need to take a look at one of those. 65 mph should keep you out of the grizzlies clutches while riding around the “Bob” (just barely😂) spent many years fly fishing (before the movie came along and changed it😕), fished a lot out your way, built my own cane rods and tie my own flies, hope you continue with it. I was on a trip to Missoula when the movie first came out so my buddy and I went to see a matinee there. There were just a few other people mostly older couples which got me to thinking, “I wonder how many of those people knew the author of the book”.

So how much weight did you have to add to the tongue of your camping trailer to offset the motor bike weight at the extreme rear of your camper. I always worry about the tongue weight to eliminate the chance of sway. I know that the longer and taller the trailer the more sway is possible and the old saying is the "Tail wags the dog." And as always a great video.
@gonagain
@gonagain 4 ай бұрын
The axle on our 10' trailer is pretty far back. We have 2 propane tanks on the tongue that are usually full and inside the trailer we moved a 5gal jug of water to the very front along with some other heavier items.

Like your new bike. I just made a receiver hitch to carry a 1974 Honda XL100. That was quite a job. Used all repurposed materials except for the receiver tube. We have a 7x12 cargo trailer, that we pull behind our camper, but it is full, so I needed a way to hall Linda’s little bike. We really enjoy your videos. We are about your age, live in Nebraska. Did you have someone install a receiver on your trailer?

I installed the receiver, which I bought off of Amazon. I just shot a video about that and about the mods I made to the carrier. I covered proper loading in detail and you may find it interesting. Watch for it, ok?

It's not a good idea to sit your helmets on the ground, you never know what insects might get in the lining. I always put mine on the mirror.

I have a 6x10 cargo trailer conversion also. Did adding the additional weight to the back change the towing characteristics? Did you have to increase the tongue weight? I am thinking about adding a small motorcycle to my set-up (TW, Honda Trail 125 or Monkey) I had a TW before, great bike.

The axle on our trailer is pretty far back and we have 2 propane tanks on the tongue. Inside we have power station, water and other heavy items up front. We just shifted some weight around inside and don't store much in the back part.

If you have water that's a perfect camp site. Preferably dispersed.

I'm monitoring that rear hitch very carefully and so far it's holding up well. Here's a video I did on installing it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nXfGcoSBhq2Vp80

Rick just a technical question. Why on earth dont you have off-road tyres on your cargo trailer? Yes they aren't drive wheels but the extra tread and heavier sidewalls would help with preventing sidewall damage in particular. Am not sure In the US but In Australia you can definitely get smallish off-road tyres ? That would largely eliminate one of the vulnerability factors on your travels.

Yes, you're right and even though 90 percent of our driving is on highway we do get off into some rough terrain. Thank you.

Right now they're Goodyear Endurance but we're getting ready to replace them with something else. Not sure what yet.

@@gonagain Thank you I just bought a 6 x 10 for 550.00 it has flats so I need to buy tires to bring it home. I am a single senior female on a 0 budget. So I don't want to by tires twice because I didn't get the right ones.

Hey! New subscriber here… I just want to say.. you guys are awesome! I’m lovin the adventures .. the wealth of information and the positive vibes.. thankyou… I was wondering how it feels with the bike mounted to the rear of your trailer.. I always thought it was maybe not so good to have that kind of weight in the rear for fear of “fish tailing” I’m looking at converting a 5x8 cargo and was uncertain about having my water tank and heavy 60 quart fridge/freezer back there.. but then I saw your video.. any thoughts are much appreciated.. safe travels ~>>>

We've moved the interior weight around so more of it is at the very front to help the tongue weight. And a heavy power station, 5 gallon water jug, etc are located up front too. We'll be putting out a video on that subject soon.

To old for motorcycles, I’m 67 , eBike is all I can handle, nothings safe tho, I’d prefer 4 wheels on the ground, utv maybe? (Yes, hauling those MPG down. a motorcycle is safer than an eBike ? Hope nothing ever happens, you’re now like family.

Hey Linda, can you share your cottage cheese bread recipe? Thanks!
@gonagain
@gonagain 4 ай бұрын
Sure, here it is: 1 cup cottage cheese 1 cup self rising flour 1/2 cup shredded cheese Mix SR flour with cottage cheese using wooden spoon. When mixed, use hands to form into a ball. Use flour if too sticky on your hands. Roll dough out into rectangle, place on parchment paper. Sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Bake at 350deg. about 20-25 min. I use this just as a base recipe. I add cheese, green onions, chile or keep it plain. You can adapt or add as you want. Follow me on IG, mrsgonagain.
