Yes like any other trailer its charged via outlet or by your car when driving. Yes if you google it folks have placed solar panels on the top of these models. The coolest thing I saw was a propane generator, they are silent and very efficient camp inn set that up for the customer

absolutly, my back requires a real bed. I sleep like a baby in this thing and wake up ready to spend time outside. Now what if its raining thats what my Car mounted Tarp is for. If its real cold and I want to warm up without a fire, a little space heater the size of a soda can a good book; I sit on the sofa with the family inside for a bit. Bathroom well a tree works good but if at any campground in the USA I use the clean and full size camp ground facilities; no clean up needed the staff takes care of that. When camping I love to show folks this camper, I expect at least 3 visitors daily. I meet the neighbors, make some coffee and talk which I like to do :) Thank you for the nice comment

Yes I tape that video the fit and finish of the campinn in is far better than his. Also to build his cost way more than 20k. Materials alone on a Campinn would cost 8k at least, I work 12 hours a day I make about $38 an hour, I dont own the equipment to make one. My time cost money; Im glad you have skills, equipment, etc. Your sounding like the Geek that says you should build your own computer its cheaper than the Mac. I bought the Mac and I bought the Campinn I like the best
@Baasicstuff11 жыл бұрын
Campinn is the company, they have many models, all are priced different; this ones the top line. If the units are in good condition like this, no matter how old they are they will sell for about 75% current price. Mine was made in 2005

I'm looking seriously for a tiny home, and until I can make that happen... I want to be able to move and travel. I figure with a shower shelter, maybe a screen structure..I'm good. I'd consider the bunkbed, and open up the queen bed space, for storage etc..BTW, I'm looking at full time living for awhile...so extra appreciation for the information.

Thanks for the review ! questions 1. How are the seals around the doors and hatch ? on dirt roads do you get dust inside either area ? 2 . the galley countertop storage lids...do they get locked in place when the hatch is closed? both questions are about bumpy/dusty roads (desert for me)
@Baasicstuff2 жыл бұрын
Ive taken mine, deep in CA desert areas, Painted Desert Area, no dust, all cabinets locked shut. Also did remote camping a few times out above Barstow CA, no issues. Now these are not off road units, Just like my 4x4 Honda is not really an off road car, its an SUV with 4x4, you get me? I saw no damage at all, just dust on the outside. Where you at?, selling mine, you could upgrade the suspension and tires in the rehab project, now that would make it really off road worthy. These things are easy to work on

Nice video...the campinn folks owe you an extended warranty. I just bought a Little Guy 5 wide. Much less fancy and less added toys. I agree and am amazed so far at how much room there is...4 days...self contained, no problem. I use the cheap skillet with cover, bbq pit/grill, and little propane stove method for cooking. Not having a big stove saves me a lot of room. Same for the sink delete. I never had a sink and manage fine with 2-8 gallon bottles of water. Thanks man...go tear drop!

You could frame up like 4 45 watt solar panels in a box that can be placed on your roof in a accordion hinge folding unit that you can place either on the roof or on the ground for additional power, changing your tv to an small lcd flat panel will also save a HUGE amount of power....you should be able to do a power make over for around $500 and I'm sure you would be happy with the results.

Having a little canopy tent right outside one of the doors.(the cheap ones that you put together like a tent) would make it perfect!:) so like if it was raining you could still stretch your legs a bit or anything like that and also you could move it by the kitchen area and still cook and whatnot. Awesome video man one of the best
@CB-RADIO-UK10 жыл бұрын
That an amazing compact trailer. Sure beats a tent. Good video as well.
@Baasicstuff10 жыл бұрын
yes way better than a tent for sure, I wake up being able to walk. My back issues are very serious; I also love the full kitchen. Its just like being at home except I run this kitchen not my wife. My wife is Japanese, she likes the break but at home she runs the house. Her rules, which I like but sometimes its nice to show her I can also cook, yet lately she has started to enjoy the Campinns kitchen and gets in my way lol. She said "its small like me, I cook tonight;" ok ok I guess I will just sit here by the fire. She's such a good woman

Your daughter must love her little hideaway! She will have such happy childhood memories of her time camping. My Dad liked to haul all of us (mom, me, my bro) to go camping in this old canvas tent. I have horror stories about that tent. It all came to an end the year I was 14, when the tent ceiling finally gave out. That was also the summer that the bear came for breakfast. Please, do all you can to avoid that. And try to avoid the motorcycle gangs. Yeah, I got some horror stories.

I have a Ford Trans connect and wonder if it could tow this little trailer? Been told it cannot tow, but saw one the other day hauling a utility trailer so need to find out. For those that don't know the trans connect is a vehicle used mostly for deliver vans and came into the US just a few years back and I bought one of the first in this area for my personal use. My daughter says it looks like an ice cream truck but love it. This little camper would work for my needs, so cute and useful. Someone complained about the length and should be edited. For myself I liked the extra attention to the details. So many people rush to get it done and a lot is not explained. Each to his, or her, own taste I guess. Really a cute trailer and would certainly like one for my own use.

***** I'm posting a video on towing tonight, it will show my brake controller and the unit being towed. This should answer any towing question one should have, thank you Jay for being so helpful to our fellow campers. This is what makes these units so fun. Went camping last week, out of the 10 folks camping 4 of them had small campers. I mean small 2 smaller than my 560 and the other two were vintage single sleeper "Scamps". The camaraderie that we had was intoxicating their was one big camper. Didn't see them as they spent most the day inside watching TV, crazy I know.

Cool unit. On the video. If you want to do more - edit it. Walk around footage gives most people motion sickness. Write your comments down in a script, record them separately, and edit the piece. Macs and PCs all come with editing software. This is a 10-minute video "crammed" into a 26 minute space. Think compact - like the trailer.
@Baasicstuff9 жыл бұрын
Thank You, I will be doing another video with that in mind. This is less of a commercial but rather a VERY indept look and thoughts of a user, never imagined this video would get so many hits. Motion sickness yes, I can see how different angles on a tripod, edited would be much easier to watch.

Lets say you are camping somewhere outdoors and you decide to leave your Tear drop parked while you are exploring, does it have a kind of mechanism to prevent it from being stolen?
