I have seen her on World Friends and she definitely changed up her accent a bit. She normally sounds American but doesn’t sound so Californian.

So easy for a native English speaker to tell which one is a native speaker

Americans actually say um a lot. It depends on region and generation. I used to be a tv news reporter and I remember the frustration of interviewing people who said ummm every third word. So a soundbite that should have been 15 seconds was 30 instead.

I feel like they should have used less obvious people. For example, the native English speaker could be Singaporean or Indian or South African or Nigerian or something. Those people often speak English natively. They could have also included someone who is from a different country but grew up going to an American international school.

All right Zoe, let's huddle up, we gotta come up with a place for ya to be from. "In America?", probably not a good answer. Try "Milwaukee" or "Oshkosh", if you think you can handle a Native American name, otherwise just go with the old tried and true, "Green Bay". That's your best chance.

Ahahah I was so lost Ahahha. You know before we start filming we actually don’t know the content. So I was absolutely not prepared ahahah and the cut is a bit different. I was actually thinking too long about a city so it was obvious
@EddieReischl Жыл бұрын
@@_joilife Hallo! Servus! That's kind of mean of them to just throw you to the wolves like that. I always get the feeling they make arbitrary cuts to the video to make it more entertaining. A lot of the middle of the USA is heavily German ancestry (Ohio/Pennsylvania west to Colorado). Here in Wisconsin, it's usually Bayerisch ancestry. Wir wohnen seit 140 jahren in Wisconsin. Es ist grossartig! Wir kommen aus Neureichenau. The "huddle up" reference is from American football starting up. The Green Bay Packers are our team. Bis später. Tschüss!
