AOC has had a pretty good history of beating guys out. I think these two will battle. I think we draft a RT with our 1st pick. Just don't think a QB is going to work out. Anyone outside of 1st Rd won't start. You might see a team like the Giants take JJ and maybe the Raiders make a play for Jones or something but, I doubt it.

I absolutely love what Tom Telesco is doing. I'm against going all in on a QB in the draft, giving up much needed draft picks is dumb. The Raiders offense has a lot of question marks, the defense is good but is a couple of moves away from being elite. Build an elite roster forget a franchise QB for now, It's hard to admit this about the team you love but we got to be honest the Raiders are far from being super bowl maybe even playoff contenders.

With the Raiders offensive weapons, all Minshew has to do is extend plays and make accurate throws. AOC can ball but as far as extending plays goes, he had cement shoes in that pocket. I wanted him to the Raiders after Carr was gone and was very disappointed to see him go to the Colts. There were way better options than Jimmy G when we signed him. Still young and can create. I'm excited for next season.

Well, the Colts picked third last year and used that pick on a project QB who got injured every game. Minshew got them to pick 15 this year. He’s not a superstar, but he’s a great value for what you guys are paying him. Premium entertainment value, too.

Keep in mind that Daniels does not want to go to Washington. Adam Peters their GM told him he would never make it as an NFL QB, and the earliest he would be drafted is the 5th round. And if Peters has not changed his mind about Daniels, they are not going to want to take him. They could trade the pick, or take Maye. There is yet another possibility, although it has been 20 years since this happened, nothing has been done by the NFL to prevent it. Daniels could refuse to play for the team that drafts him and there could be an Eli Manning/Phillip Rivers type draft day trade. The Raiders have already looked into moving up to the 5th or 6th pick which could allow them to pull off such a trade. You know Telesco knows all about that trade, even though he was not with the Bolts when it happened.

New O-Coordinator/system coming in. 1 thing Gardner will have over pretty much all qb's is his ability to learn quickly. Colts turned the ball over the least on Offense the 2nd half of the year in the entire NFL and as the video states... their skill position receivers were not good as a group. I'm actually an Eagles fan but I'm a big fan of Minshew so now that he is a Raider I'm a closet Raider fan. Plus a good friend of mine is a Raider fan too. Here's the thing to know about Minshew... He's small, doesn't have a big arm, and he's not fast yet he's been able to play in this league for several years. There have been dozens of qb's over the years that have had better physical traits than Minshew and those same players never played an NFL snap. He's sneaky good. And his teammates always love him. Raiders fans will love him too.

If we draft a QB in round 1 or 2 this is a good signing. If we do not draft a QB in round 1 or 2, the signing is not worth grading because our ceiling will be 6-7 seed one and done playoff team.

The Raiders have said all along they were going to sign a veteran backup besides drafting a QB. They let Hoyer go and they signed Minshew to take his place. Remember. Mark Davis question every GM candidate was asked what his plan would be to trade up into the first 3 picks. This is of the utmost importance to both Davis and Pierce. Telesco is going to try everything to be able to move up and sign Daniels. One of the reasons they chose him is because of the plan he laid out. They will make every attempt to get Daniels.

Here’s my take on the QB situation regarding trading up and selling the house to get the guy. Either next season we tank or be one of the bottom 5 of teams to get in a position to get a top QB in next season’s draft class or we will be in a position where we win the same amount of games or more. Leaving us in the same spot next year. If there’s a QB they like in this year’s draft they should do what they can to get him in my opinion. Stop kicking the can down the road on the most important offensive position on the team.

4:24 if you calculate what his INT total would’ve been over 17 games as the same pace, it would’ve been 11-12 INTs which isn’t bad. Give Minshew a coach who believes in him, and I think he does well. He’s shown a lot of promise, but most likely gets snubbed because he was a late round draft pick.

I like the Minshew signing. Great backup QB and bridge QB. Not very expensive either. Leaves us at a very flexible position come draft day. If we draft any QB, we can have them sit for a year or two while Minshew starts. Minshew can also serve as a starter, or even as a backup for AoC. Also, it doesn't lock us into drafting a QB. So, it helps protect us against giving away too much. Downsides? He isn't a good starter QB. Fans should not be expecting him to carry the team. If he starts, he will be taking away from AoC development. Not the most exciting player, but still happy to have on our team.

I still think we might get Fields on Draft night for a 3rd and he's only owed 2.86mil in 2024. Nothing wrong with having a 3 headed monster at QB. Injuries do happen and I think Fields will be the starter if he comes. I know Seattle Washington Giants and Vegas are interested.

Obviously the plan is for Minshew to be the bridge starter because we’re definitely drafting a QB now. And everyone can forget about Justin Fields.

Nobody wants to say this...but Minshew can be our modern day Ken Stabler/Rich Gannon hybrid... He aint scared to play how he feels comfortable, shown it on multiple teams. With this current offense and his deal, a lot of us will need to stfu come Week 1

yes last year minshew had 9 int. but that team had no weapons. also his first 2yrs minshew had a 4 tds to 1int ratio.
