We need to ask ourselves the question that why Mumbai fall behind Delhi NCR because the infrastructure development of NCR is 20 years ahead of Mumbai. Mumbai can never match the large scale development of Delhi, Although we all know that Mumbai as a city its people and business environment is far better than delhi but Mumbai suffers because of Zero vision but NCR has a vision because it's infrastructure development is directly controlled by central government. Mumbai needs a autonomous Infrastructure development agency reporting directly to the Central Government or else choose and vote for parties which focus on infrastructure development and economy of Maharashtra. Mumbai despite having all the first mover advantage lost to delhi 😢 the biggest reason is infrastructure developement. With every big infrastructure development there is always controversy in maharashtra from Mumbai metro 3 to Slum redevelopment to vadhavan port to ratnagiri refinery to bullet train to expressways everything gets stuck in politically motivated protests which is eating this state from inside.

Good discussion but you guys refused to call out the elephant in the room i.e. three major projects that were announced in Maharashtra but were moved to Gujrat just before their elections. That said, the political class have been interested only in grabbing power and lining their pockets. The inertia and activism led to huge delays be it Pune Metro or the Airport or the Mumbai redevelopment of Mumbai. Finally, Maharashtra never got its due. Money went to other states and mostly to Delhi.

This is too negative a view. Fadnavis certainly is not the one who is simply lining his pockets, which even his opponents agree. Maharashtra, as you say, lost 3 industries in the Ubatha Shivsena’s era, but quickly Fadnavis managed to get Toyota’s ev project and various other projects.Give the credit where it is due.

I don’t know what you see but I see that the current leadership has ‘वाट दाखवली’ of Metro, sea link road, Atal Setu etc. Now it is the responsibility of the people of Maharashtra to allow them to lead us.
