There are 2 main indicators that made me sure about FOX's Quicksilver having some kind of time speed manipulation. 1- The music he hears. And no, don't tell me that he edited the music to go faster, it's a freaking cassette... And he keeps changing his own speed constantly (or the world's speed), so the edited music would only match one speed in particular, but he still hears it at every speed he goes. 2- The pong arcade at his house. And it's odly specific. Why is the pong arcade going so fast? He didn't programed it for that, that's for sure, and it doesn' matter how fast you press buttons, it won't make the ball go anty faster. But yoy can see clearly how the pong arcade is running at incredible speeds. He has to be able to control time speed around him, and not only him but in objects he's using. That would explain every signle part of this video.

3:56 Throughout this scene are many points that show this isn't an issue for him. He can speed up or slow down almost infinitely, changing the speed he's moving at incredibly small intervals. Like when he runs up the floor as the explosion is lifting it up. He would have to vary his speed incredibly to make this possible. Or when he kicks the table out of the window and rides it, despite being able to speed up and move faster than the table he just kicked. So, as he is "slamming" the person on the bed, he is being careful to slow down his movements enough for a tiny fraction of time to place them on the bed without harm Also, I don't think the guards were blown back at 4:18. We don't know what he did as he went through that hall, he probably just poked each guard, did a little moonwalk, and ran back into the prison to grab a bite of that food he brought down in the first place. One odd thing, he doesn't seem to effect the world around him much as he moves through it at those high speeds. Otherwise, sonic booms would erupt from him constantly, creating massive shock waves and damage everywhere he went. I would think movements like his would cause severe disruption around the planet

That bubble thing at the end kinda makes sense. I'd like to think that surrounded Quicksilver is a thin layer that separate him from the outside world time. Time flows normal for QS inside this layer but faster than the outside around 100,000 times. Anything that comes in contact with this layer is dragged into and experience the same time flow. That's how he is able to move really fast without friction and he can interact with other as well. When things move further away from him, the effect is lost and the normal physics rules apply again. It also explains how he's able to hear music.

Yes! Finally someone else realizes the bubble theory! My belief is that Quicksilver produces a bubble of space-time around himself. Everything inside and outside of the bubble works completely like normal, but inside the bubble happens to take place much faster than outside. But either way, things work normally. So, to Quicksilver, he runs at a normal speed for a human to run. He just jogs around. But his controling of his time bubble makes his jog take place faster than what takes place outside of the bubble. And his bubble has to extend not only to his body but also a little bit around him, so his clothes and things don't get ripped off. This explains why he doesn't burn up from friction, because when air speeding towards him enters his bubble, to him, it slows down to normal speeds. So the air friction he experiences is the same as the air friction a normal person that's running at a normal speed would experience. This also explains things like how his music plays at a normal speed for him. It's inside the bubble, so it works normally even at whatever speed Quicksilver is going. And, this theory explains how he can interact with things like people and bullets without snapping them in half (which would happen if such a large acceleration were applied to something moving so slowly. So, instead of ripping limbs off of people when he touches them, they enter his bubble and can travel just as fast as he can without getting whiplash or anything like that, because they move at normal speeds inside the bubble. You can't really get whiplash from running, or at least it is unlikely. As far as I've seen, there are only two things that are against this theory. Firstly, the people he carries have to be inside his bubble so they should be able to see everything slowing down like Quicksilver does and react to it like they're traveling at normal speed. Instead of being statues, they should be able to process what's happening and even talk to Quicksilver like normal. The other problem is that if every force works normally in the bubble, then the force of gravity should make the people he carries just as heavy as they are normally. But in Apocalypse, he throws people around like they weigh almost nothing. This would make sense if only Quicksilver was affected by his bubble, because, since the acceleration of gravity is 9.8 meters per second squared and if all of his movements are completed in a fraction of a fraction of a second, then they would weigh almost nothing to him. But that contradicts the notion that they don't get whiplash because they move at normal speeds to them.

What is your proof that he is part inhuman? The intro part where the broken leg was being discussed proves whos faster / more powerful, quicksilver or the flash. I love em both. However the reason I said Flash is more powerful, is once Superman broke flashes leg in the same manner Apocalypse broke Quicksilver's leg. Flash was possessed by Trigon. One thing his speed affords him is the ability to hit infinitely faster than anyone, and therefore he is extremely powerful. However, he may have to be selective how he punches, because if his body cannot withstand that force, his fist etc with shatter. Oh its a huge subject, but fascinating.

Time dilation is explained incorrectly here. In fact real time dilation due to travelling at high speeds would have the opposite effect. Time would be slower to quicksilver, the closer he gets to the speed of light. Meaning he would age slower. Yet we see the opposite, he can move at "normal" speed, while everyone else moves(ages) very slowly.

I think I figured it out. It's a black hole. When he saves people they look like statues, and don't have much force applied to them when they fall. That's why he is always eating and drinking soda, the way his body uses the resources it consumes is so efficient be basically creates small black holes. He's essentially manipulating space to make those "quick runs", while manipulating time by exerting the black hole's event horizon upon them and causing this bullet time effect. The way he can sometimes move seemingly trough things without affecting is because he is essentially using his powers as a kind of wormhole, which he "runs" by quickly crossing those two points in space. And that's why the MUSIC is so important. Yes, he is listening to the entire song just fine, because that's how he keeps "rinthim" of his speed and his "event horizon". He is not only perceiving time differently, but essentially making everything around him fall in his micro event horizon (the place around black holes, like in interstellar), and that's why neither him nor other people around him are affected by friction, it's like the "bubble" you've spoken about. Oh, and how does he create those black holes? I think it's like how the LHC accelerates particles and accidentally make micro black holes.

Like how in the CW flash series we see barry catching bullets that are in slow motion and that is because he is moving much faster than anything else

In physics, velocity is the distance covered by an object over a period of time. So if Quicksilver slows time down time relative to himself, he could travel the same distance in less then a second, as a normal human could do in a minute, an hour, or even a day, depending on how he dilated time. He might be a time traveler.

He was moving at 1% of light speed tops, and much much slower for majority of mansion scene. Extreme time dilation effects won't be noticeable until at least 90% of speed of time. Plus he doesn't produce sonic booms nor experiences friction from moving that fast. Him controlling time seems to be far better explanation

Would love to see them try and out do the stuff fox has made with a bigger budget, it's the same character so you can sort of share the traits and abilities. The Lorentz Factor of quicksiler speed(Mach 100000+) is: 1.006617996. Which means that time moves 1.006617996 slower than everyone when he is running at Mach 100001, to put this in perspective, 1 second for quicksilver at his speed, is 1.006617996 seconds for everyone else. So either quicksilver is a lot faster than mach 100000+ or Fox is really over doing it with time dilation.

Quicksilvers ability is similiar to marvel one shot Santa Claus. He has limited temporal compression, thats why music from his walkman sound normal to him. With effort he is able to further compress time but with strain on his part. If you consider days of future past you can see a linear compression as the slowed rate of the bees wings. The time between flap one and 2 is three seconds, but between two and three is 6.

He definitely doesn't. He isn't really that fast. His powers were severely nerfed for the X-Men movies. In the comics, he's really only supposed to be able to reach Mach 1 making the MCU version of Quicksilver much more accurate. That's why Marvel Studios' Quicksilver was able to get shot. Bullets move faster than sound. In reality, Fox's version of Quicksilver is more like the Flash than the character he's supposedly based off of.

Quicksilver in DoFP scene is fine, but in Apocalypse scene is too exaggerated. He can't control the time, Fox just made him look like being able to do that. He wasn't Flash. He probably has speed of sound but he hasn't surpassed speed of light.

No he can't.. I like Quicksilver more than The Flash. But I admitted The Flash is faster than Quicksilver. The Flash reached speed of light that made him can be able to do time travel. Depend on the case, in Crossover comics (JLxAvengers), Flash was slower than Quicksilver in the Marvel Universe, but in the DC Universe he completely destroyed Quicksilver with speed. Now, why was this? Well, while Flash is but a mere human, Quicksilver is a mutant. He was born with his powers, while Flash was not. Flash relies on the speed force to run at incredible speeds, while Quicksilver merely has to vibrate his molecules at incredible speeds, and that allows him to run fast. Flash could not run at light speeds when crossed over into Marvel Universe. Because he couldn't access at all to the speed force in Marvel Universe that owned by Quicksilver.
