I like the leg press versus high bar ATG because even though like you said the back isn't a limiting factor in a quad bias squat it still takes on a bit more fatigue set per set versus the leg press. I work a physical job and do a lot of RDLs for hypertrophy so any axial fatigue I can save I will. Sort of like bent over barbell rows versus chest supported with fatigue to erector fatigue. Thoughts on that coach?

Yes you can. Then you’ll be able to squat 135 like Jerry Ward then get hurt while doing so

What your thoughts about frontsquads vs Bulgarien split squads for more overall mass in the lower body
@Kkaffeine Жыл бұрын
Perfect video, i asked you this last week i think. I just cant squat nor deadlift cause my lower body mobility is that bad.

The amount of hate the leg press gets is completely unwarranted. Its literally just bench press for the lower body. Hits my quads way harder than a back squat does and it allows me to train quads without being restricted by poor ankle mobility.

Currently, I’m doing the hack squat do to a lack of hip and ankle mobility. I can hit depth with it and it works my quads more than the back squat

I think if you are gonna replace the squat then the hack squat is better at doing so

@@Jorge.A.12 My gym doesn't have a hack squat unfortunately.

Can someone who’s not a powerlifter do all their volume benching with dumbbells?
@JasonBlaha Жыл бұрын
Why do people come up with these absurdly restrictive modalities? Do you guys legitimately just not want to make gains? That must be the reason.
@samuelpatton5148 Жыл бұрын
@@JasonBlaha I like using dumbbells better for high reps. Answer the question or don’t reply at all.

When in reality I gave you the answer you need to hear but you did not like that. You wanted me to say, "OMG this is a great idea and you will totally get the best possible results by limiting yourself to one tool." You wanted validation not honesty with your best interest in mind.

Do you think starting from 10 reps and building up to 20 reps overtime is a good way to progress. I want to try this with the squat. I can see this possibly working while bulking.

Sometimes, I can't help but think that I am missing something on your intros. From the single eyebrow lift to the new "forearm shot" to the "hey everybody, its Jason Blaha here" intro...every single time. How did all of these staples in your video intros come about?
@JasonBlaha Жыл бұрын
I've been doing this since 2012 and I have no idea when or why most of them came about. lol
