As far as i am concerned, you won this race. Allowing a glitch once is better than breaking the main rule. Good vid, that must have been quite a tense rave in the first half. ps. You finally allowed a glitch, I am proud of you 😜

Fun fact, I'm belgian and, even tho I don't speak dutch, I do understand of what your cousin and you are talking about without having to reading the subtitles you put down xD Anyway, I've been re-watching your videos these days and I've noticed you're mostly aiming for perfection. The only piece of advice I could give you is not to go for this pesky perfection; go with the flow! I've most notably thaught that on your most point world record attempts: I *think* that, if you wanted to be the world record holder, you should just play the game over and over againt until it becomes natural for you! I don't think people aiming for most points tried to do it like you did, t'was everything but healthy for your mind :c ANYWAY, I'm only part of the shadow viewers that prefers not to speak and just enjoy the video but t'was a fun one! Right as I thaught, "dang, it sure been a while since David posted anything" that you popped up! Keep it up, I'm yearning for more content from you! Especially this kind where we hear you have fun! Life's too short to only think perfection and shit :D

In my opinion you totally won because of nonstop holding strafe button, even while using glitch. Fun fact, today I played Rayman 3 and found out that infinite powerup glitch works in Hootlum HQ as well. I killed sorcerer with your speedrun tactic and did powerjump to platform. Game glitched and Rayman couldn't die, I couldn't reset, and powerups were infinite. Funny how much new things you can learn after 20 years haha.

what about a highscore run where every cage you open loses you a set amount of points lets say: 5000 points in the final score calculation you have to adjust and set the value for opening a cage in such a way that its sometimes worth it to open one where you can get a combo with lets say a green gem inside the cage to achieve a value bigger than what you lost by opening. so it makes every cage an interesting descision. maybe the value of points lost / cage should be lower lets say 4500 or even higher 6000 to make it more interesting. for a base value I would say it should atleast be a bit higher than a classic green gem x2 with power up so more than 3000 has to be a must! so: some cages could be worth doing - while others will always suck and be a skip. figuring that out could be a nice challenge.

It's really nice to see both you and your cousin, and other people in the rayman community, have such passion with this game. I have played Rayman 3 since i was 8-9 years old, when I got the first generation xbox (and it was also a gift from a cousin of mine coincidently) Now i'm 25 years old, and I still play this game on and off from time to time. You know, people blamed me for playing this game as a kid, because there were other games before this that was more popular, like Ratched & Clank, SSX Tricky, Tony Hawk ProSkater 4, etc. But this game will always stay where near my heart, as one of the best platformer games i've ever played. Stay awesome Greetings from Norway, Nor iGhezZal (XBOX)

There's something really funny about hearing you and your cousin switch between Dutch and English anyway, but the fact you both were speaking in Dutch, then he switches to English to say "Get f***** idiot!" in English was just really funny XD Like he had to switch languages to insult you properly :')

@@obscurevideogameruns6250 ah really? That's cool to know! I had noticed when people speak in Singapore that they can transition to English frequently, I didn't know Dutch did it too though! It was cool learning a bit about your language though, like crush meaning angry, and when you said "dammit" to my ears it sound like "good"
@obscurevideogameruns62506 ай бұрын
@@kierancampire "Boos" means angry. We thought the Knaar said "Crush is Boos" while he actually says "Crush his bones". We just understood it wrong as kids. That was also the case in Pokemon, with quotes like "Got away safely", "Poisoned", "Paralyzed" and "Confused". We always pronounced it wrong and we still do sometimes for the memes
@kierancampire6 ай бұрын
@@obscurevideogameruns6250 aaahh okay! To be fair even as a native English speaker who can only speak this language, some things can be really confusing sometimes. Like I find particularly with songs, I need to read lyrics or otherwise I can really struggle to understand what the singer is saying. And especially in this modern era of movies where everyone seems to mumble, I need subtitles on or half the time I just get nothing! So the fact that you are dealing with that, as well as words sounding similar to words in Dutch and having to understand/translate both meanings? It's impressive you can do it at all! So I don't blame younger you getting confused, that's a lot to process and keep up with haha
