Tip: for Stone Vigil, Chudo-Yudo's Lion's Breath and Isgebind's Frost Breath are very easily dodgeable with minimal movement. Stand inside the boss's hitbox, near the center, and as soon as you see the cast bar, move behind that boss hitbox's centerpoint. Congratulations! If your reaction time is good enough, you've dodged a strong tb with a short press of the W key!

I think the "swift" part of "swift first-time completion" was removed, but they left the verbiage in. If it's your first time you get swift 🤷♂

I think it’s always been “as long as you finish in 60minutes.” Pretty sure if you are in the last 30minutes of the timer you won’t get swift completion, but anything quicker you will!

@@loranpayne840 in this very video he clears stone vigil with 14 minutes left, taking 74 minutes to do it, and he still gets "swift completion".

Something I think a lot of people don't realize is that Mistral Shriek is just a very large AoE around Garuda, so you can just easily move to the side across from Garuda and avoid the damage entirely. It's not the huge cone that Mistral Song is. I think that can be super helpful info for anyone attempting their own solo run

Love the series so far! As a note for grand company turn ins: I believe they scale off of your class' level. If you outlevel the patch your in - meaning getting above 50 in ARR, 60 in HW, etc. - you might lock yourself out of turn ins, that got me when I was starting out. Be careful with your leveling!

Thanks for the videos, been super fun to watch! Have you tried spinning any bosses or monsters yet? It's kinda hard to pull off even with legacy controls, but it might save you from a few undodgeable hits here and there. All you have to do is run circles around the boss hitbox and stay even with the arrow 90 degrees behind where they are facing. So if you're spinning clockwise then you want to stay in line with their western arrow. You can find tutorials by Aethertruck and some Deep Dungeon youtubers for better reference :)

Interesting, I take it the heals from Storm's Path are more valuable than the DPS from Inner Beast? The gauge will probably be more useful with Steel Cyclone / Decimate when you need some swift add clear. Stone Vigil's Isgebind certainly would have been a lot more annoying before the lingering ice fields were removed. I did not know that Halatali cheese tho! Neat.
@rathgames Жыл бұрын
Yeah giving up the gcd for inner beast seemed to get me killed more, though sometimes it's better to do big number.

Garuda's Slipstreap had a shaking cast bar, meaning you could've used Interject to interrupt it.
@rathgames Жыл бұрын
If I interject and interrupt it she doesn't do the animation. Animation gives more time to heal since I can just walk out of slipstream instead.
@iPlayOnSpica Жыл бұрын
@@rathgames May just be marginal optimizations then. You could hold off executing interrupt until the cast bar is almost full, but you'd almost inevitably pause your gcd, delaying your next self-heal. But, interrupting does briefly stop the target from doing any further actions.

Love your videos, but i realized recently that, since CT is necessary for msq now, you probably need to bend the rules to at least enter the raid because you need at least 3 people - 1 in each party. Although i guess it somewhat possible to complete them with overleveled BLU

Man, I know this has probably already been said, but I can’t IMAGINE how more difficult this challenge would’ve been prior to the ARR reworks. Koschei required you to use CANONS to deal with mechanics, which were completely unusable bc autos alone would cancel your interaction with it. I have no clue what you would’ve done there…
