Rebounding is the only stat known to reliably translate to the NBA. Simmons, Towns, Embiid, Giannis, AD, Kawhi, and Paul George were all solid rebounders. Curry was an above-average rebounder for a guard. So was Russ. The list goes on.

I GUARANTEE no one as a GM would've picked Giannis in the 2013 Draft with the 1st pick, let alone the top 5 picks. My Milwaukee Bucks luckily got him and he's the greatest steal in NBA Draft history at Pick #15! I remember it pretty clearly, he was considered pretty unpolished with shooting and dribbling as weaknesses. We drafted him based on 1, maybe 2 things: A) His potential was unlimited as he was only 18 still growing with the wingspan of a fuckin Pterodactyl (we've seen that now) and (B) he had a great work ethic. I remember being happy with the pick because #15 overall picks are usually expected to be role players at best, and I saw his ceiling as like a fringe All-star But I DOUBT anyone thought he could be as amazing as he is today. He was also tough to evaluate because he was basically self-made, never really had elite coaching/training and his competition level was in the Greek League's 3rd Division in 2011 and only the 2nd Division in 2012 where his stock was then rising fast but the Greek 2nd Division is NOWHERE close to the NBA- probably around a top 20-50 D1 college program (?) where he averaged like 10 PPG and decent rebounding. He improved by A LOT every year though (like +5 PPG every season!!) and the time I remember really noticing how good he could be (like MVP level, which NO ONE expected when he was drafted) was when we took the #1 seeded Celtics to 7 games as an 8 seed basically thanks to him alone (Khris Middleton was another surprise that took several years to develop) and we are a small-market team so thank god he's super loyal. He was already like All-star level at that point and CLEARLY willing to put in the work to be the best so it's been a dream come true b/c we weren't a contender since like 2000 w/ Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson.

1:52 Kyrie, Allen Iverson, Hakeem, and Derrick Rose may not have been the best players in their draft class (can't argue with the likes of Kobe or Michael Jordan, after all) but they were still amazing MVP-caliber players - D. I've been slacking this year and havent been keeping up with the players for next draft.. but if I were the GM.. I'm going James Wiseman. If anything, you know hes going to give it his all, and really that's all you ask in the end. James Wiseman also has the most NBA ready body, ever since he left college ball. I guess hes kind of like Deandre Ayton right, just with more determination

@@slim8553 I would go with 6'7 PG Lamelo. Great oversized point-players (ball handler/facilitator) are very good today. Oversized players relative to their position are great in general, but a chance to get a KD, Bron, Giannis, Harden, Doncic, or Simmons type of player is a must-cop. Lamelo will have to toughen his body up to bang with NBA players tho. As long as injuries don't plague Lamelo, he will be the best player in that draft class easily.

Veeon at the highest level drug usage happens especially with the amount of abuse their bodies receive and how much they need to recover. players like giannis and lebron are freak athletes but to keep using that athleticism at such an incredible pace game after game they need those drugs to be able to keep training and playing, its not so much the need for more “power” its just that they need to be able to “heal” faster.
