Martin when I was in the decorating game we used to use expanding foam for long cracks in plaster worked quite well

Yes, thanks for the castor oil tips. As soon as I saw that vid where you first mentioned it I bought some and started using it the next day for chronic knee pain. I’m the biggest skeptic out there and have tried countless remedies for things over the years without much success. Anyway, within an hour of rubbing the oil all over my knees I couldn’t believe it .. the pain had almost all gone away! Finding, for me, if I repeat this every other day I’m pretty much pain free. Marvellous and big thanks for this, keep the health tips coming!❤😁

After 43yrs of doing our own DIY/decorating, we sympathise with you - thats a massive lounge!! We decorated our lounge/dining room this time last year. We were having it re-carpeted too. Long-story-short: never again, it took us yonks! We have tiny rooms in this house, and only painted this time around, but we know now we'd never, ever decorate in Winter ever again! We had windows and doors open for days trying to dry it out and get rid of the smell. He ended up with a chest infection and the dog hated it! A year down the line we still love it. But l think we may well have hung up our decorating overalls last January. So I'll get my 'DIY Fix' watching you two! 🖌

Lightweight ready made filler is a game changer for deep cracks, it cuts labour time and mess, just use a wet paint brush to simulate the existing wallpaper pattern. undercoat it before applying the white cieling emulsion

Hi Martin and Sharon been a subscriber to your channel for over 4 years now and I have enjoyed all your vlogs throughout the years, this week I have had this horrible flu bug going round so been catching up when you went to Fuerteventura plus the start of decorating your living room, just wanted to say thanks for the advice on castor oil, as my mum has had pain in her knees with osteoarthritis, and is supposed to be going for knee surgery in February, understandably she’s very nervous, but since trying this, it’s been a huge improvement on the pain she’s been suffering, she did say back in the 1950’s they used to take it orally but the taste was foul, but anyway thanks to you both for all the fun you put into your vlogs, all the best Adam 😊

Hello you two! I’m just watching and have to chip in I bought the same castor oil you did when I heard about Sharon’s knee and I’m lathering it on including my feet I’m so impressed! Really can feel a difference I too have a troublesome knee and it’s been pain free now for a good week! Iremember my dad having a spoonful a day back 50 years or more ago and he swore by it but could never persuade us children although he tried. Often the old ways were the best, far better than taking pills and potions. Thanks so much for your great advice and by the way I’m looking forward to the weeks ahead and your decorating project I’m sure it will be fabulous and as long as you are happy that’s all that matters. I follow a lady on KZbin who has pioneered the benefits of castor oil for years. She recommends it for all sorts. She got me onto it. Her tips were buy in dark coloured glass bottles. Buy free of additives, and organic. I personally found it hard to find in the end, I used Amazon. I remember the local kids clinic supplying mum with bottles of it that we had to take every day. In gloopy orange syrup. Lol

Spray some expanding foam in that crack let it dry then scrape out just below to fill with filler,it will stop it cracking again
