I'm a big fan of your videos. I've always been a aviation enthusiast. Money always seems to be in the way. Grew up next to Chicago's Midway Airport. Lack of money hasn't stopped me, from reading and watching professional pilots in the cockpit. Thank you for taking the time and effort to make these videos. They are very much appreciated. Stay safe. God bless.

I am always amazed by that Flower. Swear the GPU was hooked up before the engines even spooled down; and the fuel truck is there as soon as they are. Stayed at that same hotel on a overnight once, tried doing the monorail thing also and it was just a PITA. It was always delayed or would stop short of the station and just sit for a few minutes. That’s when we decided to always get a rental. But yes, that hotel does have a nice workout room.

I've probably written it before, but it bears repeating. Mike has such a comforting tone and pace on the intercom and radio. He would have made an excellent public safety dispatcher (my career, in the early years). Some do not realize it, but a dispatcher's tone and pace can have a great deal to do with what may be happening in the field. A calm, reassuring voice goes an long way to keep everybody safe. Thanks again for a great video.
@randyporter34915 жыл бұрын
Tim Vaughan After more than 20 years talking to emergency dispatchers, I agree 100% The tone and pace over the radio, very definitely dictate the mood. I’m sure Mike tires of these references, but I’ve made similar comments. I love watching these two together. It’s a great crew that just works. Great video guys, safe skies !

I had to laugh when you tuned around and asked if everyone had there seat belts on. Most of the stuff I flew had a cockpit door and it was usually always shut. That’s why they invented the seat belt light switch. LOL. I too usually stayed on one time zone. That wasn’t always possible, like when we flew from London, Stanstead to LAX in one day. No bueno. Ahh, my work outs are now, taking out the garbage and mowing the lawn. Guess being retired has some advantages. No need for a first class medical any more.

The famous effects of the unexpected affecting schedules. Enjoyed your last stream video but, didn't manage to get one or two questions answered - it was so busy with people attending. One was pure curiosity - how long has Mike been with you Jim? Vegas must be about the longest haul compared to many you do - sort of Eagle, plus a lot! Agree re the time change - often had to do that when flying to UK and back... still a bit uncomfortable sometimes. FBO with piano - amazing! The 'sprawl' around Vegas is incredible these days. Great flight and enjoyable video, thanks..

Haha alllllmost had to stop the climb out of Spirit... Mike handled the radios fast enough to juuuuust get that 15 clearance. Heh. Here’s some fun history about Flower Aviation... in the 70s and 80s they used to hire line girls and have them dress in mini-skirts... nobody would ever get away with that particular marketing campaign today, but they had calendars they did photo shoots for and printed, and then sold or gave away, and such. Once in a while you’ll see one hanging in a hangar somewhere in CO or KS. Their “signature” uniforms were phased out in the early 90s, as best I can remember. As you can imagine, this made flying a high wing into KPUB more popular with the young male students than a low wing... hahaha. Fly safe!

Kev in Thailand is my usual source for all things British but I never heard of bangers. Is that for breakfast?
