Axel Nilsson You’ve actually got it backwards. The Texarkana Phantom was an historical serial killer who murdered 6 people in the fall and winter of 1946 in Texarkana, Arkansas/Texas. The murders are still unsolved, and inspired both “Town That Dreaded Sundown” movies. His look, with the burlap mask and what not, was the inspiration for Jason’s look in Part 2.
