you're right, its essentially second nature for him to do the things that he does, he probably isn't even thinking when he does it, its automatic. My favorite aspect of Canelo is that he isn't afraid any kind of fight, whether it's with a brawler or boxer, he goes in ready to fight.

He never starts out doing a lot of feints and tricks. He lets the opponent get accustomed to his rhythm and then he changes it. Very textbook and very savvy.

Great breakdown. 1 question though, why does the lean forward at 8:27 hide the jab? Like what’s different from just shooting it from a normal position?

He tends to bait most of the time with a high guard to counter his opponents so when he does it they think he’s waiting to counter then he shoots the jab which they don’t expect. Rhythmic deception plus the lean forward posture can be off putting as it’s not the normal way to throw the jab.

Canelo does way too many things great to try and prepare for. He also does mid fight adjustments and has Eddy as an extra pair of eyes. Combine that with the sheer amount of experience and you have practically an unstoppable fighter. For some reason Plant underrates all the things Canelo does and that's going to cost him.
