Thank you for the informative review and the great pictures! I am very interested in this camera. You briefly mentioned that working with the RAW files in Premiere Pro was problematic. Is it possible to work smoothly here? Also in combination with the SD cards. I work daily in Premiere with ProRes files from SSDs on a Mac and it works very well and quickly.

Do you consider interpolation from 6k to 4k to be the best solution to increase the density of color information, since information from neighboring pixels is combined into one channel?

The CineD approach to camera reviews are so helpful and informative because you include mini docs in the video. Which is a great way of seeing the camera in real world situations. I'm surprised more creators don't add some kind of narrative demonstration in their reviews. It's a priceless means of bringing so much more depth to what may otherwise be a stale review that looks like every other review. Great work! CineD FTW!

The DJI Mic 2 sounds so crisp clear and loud in a good way! What is your audio capture and post-editing workflow?
@CineD2 ай бұрын
Hey. Step 1: If you have access to DaVinci Resolve, then import the audio file to it and apply "voice isolation" to about 50% (This will ensure keeping the voice natural). Step 2: Use the "equalizer" to boost bass (Just a little) and that's it!

The only downside with Johnnie Behiri's sample mini-doc footage is that they are so damned interesting, that one gets so engrossed in the story that you forget to check the image quality in various scenarios of the camera! Johnnie is a master at his craft. There again, the camera must be good as it didn't detract from the storytelling and any camera that can do that consistently in various light and stability modes (tripod, handheld etc) then that camera must be a win. This camera is very tempting even for someone like myself who has invested into the Sony ecosystem.

WHAT A WONDERFUL DOCUMENTARY…. WOW compliment for you and the Lady!! Will the EF-RF 0.71x Mount Adapter (used on the (my) C70) still be usefull? And will the C80 record MP4 (in case needed…) Thank you for an answer…
@RobRanney2 ай бұрын
You could use that adapter, but you'd have to put the C80 in Super35 mode. Since the C80 has a full frame sensor, you could simply get an RF to EF adapter (standard, control ring, or drop-in filter style) and get the true full frame field of view from your EF lenses.
