I think the issues is the lack of sleep. Governments do not sleep.

You say this is not to criminalize parents, but it literally stipulates that parents will face jail time if they fail to take their children to school. Care to explain?

Couldn't agree more with one of core objections to this Bill. It is the criminalisation of parents as the first one; the second is the assumption that the State owns the kids by insisting on their agenda (the State's) on Sex Education... the State essentially assumes the Progressive template around what gender and sexuality is about. This is unacceptable. There are other elements that are unacceptable and needs to be resisted.

Lot of things are happening at school and are overlooked. Learners have power over teachers, bullying is getting worse daily and nothing is done. I wonder if decisions taken are for the betterment of the country or it is just politics.

Guys please take the time to look up ATM and watch vuyolwethu zungulo's interview because the problem with South Africans🇿🇦 is we think that the only political party options to vote for are the parties that have shown us how corrupt and selfish they are but we have parties like ATM who we have not given a chance to even hear what they have to offer. Lets be smart about who we vote for.

Does not help she uses Venda and Zulu as examples. We all know that it's the few Afrikaans schools that will be targeted. I remember how my sons Afrikaans primary school, was taken over within 7 years, of accepting their 1st English class. This bill also allows the government to teach our children the woke sex education. The vulgar x rated sex, like blow jobs, anal sex etc in detail. We as parents and grandparents should fight back.

With all the homeschooling going on, the government is losing money, and now they need to force kids back to school so parents can pay up.

In the eyes of the rest of the world we are "united" because of the Springboks, when in reality the ANC is just as racist as the apartheid government...The only difference is they are in the majority, so they don't have to use violence....yet....

Tell Catherine parents are criminalised in the UK too for children not going to school. But before that happens the parents are referred to social services. Caroline should be using her position to advocate for the government to ensure adequate provision is made available. She needs to know children have to be in school, or are we trying another way to ensure Blacks and Coloured children don't reach their full potential as happened during Apartheid. Pardon my suspicion but I do not trust these NGO's

You just cannot get away from Apartheid ...cant you ...? ,,,,and that after 30 years of so called Democracy ...It has been proved over and over again ......a large amount of Black and Coloured parents .....dont care if their children do not go to school.....!!!...Now the government wants to FORCE those parents to see that their children does go to school....Why did the government make laws that children only need to go to school until grade 9 ...Why ...????Because tens of thousands of Black children does not want to go to school until grade 12.....Stop showing your ignorence ....and you anti white racist agenda !!....by dragging Apartheid into this ....!!!!!.......and what do you mean ....about ...."" dont reach their full potential.....For 30 years they had the chance of ''reaching their full potential..""....and what was the result ...????you answer that ....!!!

They've admitted they have a lack of funds, and I just saw so many teachers are busy protesting in the rural areas now. My concern is will the Government ensure that all these critical areas are properly monitored, and actually receive enough funds . The schools the pupils that attend our skills development centre, are absolutely shocking! I feel the general public should be given a platform to report directly to Parliament if we see any neglect. I don't see how the BELA Bill is going to help, the teachers already can't see if a child is struggling or being bullied etc, when they have have to manage a class with an average of 40 pupils. The children won't receive proper quality education, by just attending a school. The proper infrastructure needs to be in place before sending a child into a potentially harmful environment due to lack of supervision. Which unfortunately is the case in our area. it's heart breaking to see how much these young children suffer. This Political nonsense need to stop, the GNU must go to the schools so they can see what the actual problems are, and sort it out like Adults!
