I am die hard Cap fan. He is probably my favorite superhero, along with Batman, The Flash and Thor. If not for Logans healing factor, I would say Cap takes the medal seven times out of ten. But since Logan has the healing factor, he wins nine times out of ten. With near instant regeneration, it would next to impossible for Cap to beat him.

It's not just the healing factor, wolverine is way more experienced, an expert martian artist and tactician, he has indestructible bones, super strength, super speed, enhanced senses and he fights with deadly blades on each of his hands where as cap fights with his hands and a shield only, if you go into a fight against another martial artist who has a knife with your hands only you're gonna be left in a puddle of blood and tears, this fight is a stomp for wolvie.

It really depends on which versions of the characters we’re talking about. Base level I’d say Wolverine takes it based upon hundreds of years of skill training and a higher healing factor. The forms of Cap I don’t know much about. However I do know that Wolverine has the ability to tap into the Phoenix Force. That alone is scary in and of itself combined with berserker rage.

Great video! Although I'd have to disagree on one thing: Wolverine's strength is superior to Cap's in my opinion. Wolverine has been shown to consistently lift over 2 tons and his strenght is considerably amplified if he goes berserk, for example (I'd say it probably goes up to 5 tons). His skeleton also boosts his striking force and ability to hold up weight.

I always think back to Cap vs Wolverine in Avengers vs X - Men when it seemed as if Wolverine had the upper hand and Cap was fatigued but then got bailed out by Ant Man at the last minute. I don't see how Wolverine doesn't win this matchup every time. His healing factor and durability give him the advantage undoubtedly.

This is a good match up. Gonna have to give it to Cap. He's faster, a better fighter, doesn't tire and his weapon has a greater range (can strike opponent from a safe distance). Logan would have to be within arms reach to use his claws. If Wolverine's skull is plated with adamantium his brain can still be rattled inside it enough to knock him out temporarily. Cap's strategy should be to tire Logan out, get a significant distance from him and launch that shield at his head! Lol

Sebbe Good point but let's break it down further. I think Cap is stronger. In the MCUs Avengers Infinity War Cap held off Thanos (while wearing the infinity gauntlet containing at least two infinity stones!) who as the Mad Titan, has bested the Hulk on many occasions (without the gauntlet!). Cap is also better at hand to hand combat (only Black Panther and Spider-Man are more skilled in this area). After all, Cap is the original super soldier while Wolverine didn't come along until nine attempts later (weapon X). While Wolverine has the ultimate healing factor, Cap possesses a healing factor as well. Finally, Cap's fatigue factor is second to none. So for me what it boils down to is which hero is able to put the other down first. In any fight, the one to tire first usually loses especially if his opponent is also stronger. If Cap puts Wolverine down first he can keep him down by continuing to hit him since he never tires ( and don't forget, if Cap can hold Thanos back, he can keep Wolverine down). This won't kill Wolverine, but we're not talking about a fight to the death. Cap strategy: tire Wolverine out then use superior strength and endurance put him down and keep him there. Post script. It is possible to put Logan down. Evidence. In one of the scenes of the movie Wolverine, Logan is involved in a cash in which he is thrown thru the windshield of a truck. As a result, he is temporarily knocked on conscious (although briefly) nonetheless, it would take much less than a blow from the Hulk to put him down.

Caps shield is made up of what they call "proto adamantium" which is a combination of adamantium steel and vibranium. This was mistakenly created and was never able to be recreated again. Wolverine is made up of "true adamantium" which is the attempt to recreate proto adamantium but they were unsuccessful. Proto adamantium is stronger and more durable than true adamantium. So, ya. C: hope I helped. It would be a good fight though!

True adamantium and Proto-adamantium are more than equal in terms of their indestructibility having only been broken a few times respectively and normally only broken by those with incredible strength like The Hulk or Reality warpers like Molecule Man Owen Reece, What gives Proto-adamantium its edge its the fact that its a Vibranium alloy meaning it has the ability to absorb kinetic force which is why Cap can take hits from someone like Thor and not get sent flying as the shield absorbs all the force thrown at it. This property makes Proto-adamantium more durable and able to take more force. Also the shield wasn't created by Howard Stark it was created by Dr Myron MacLain for the American government by accident when he fell asleep during the bonding process meaning he couldn't replicate the process of forging the metal where as with True adamantium the process is known and can be recreated however the process is incredibly expensive so they choose to use a more cost effective Secondary adamantium which is cheaper to create while still being a strong metal. Side note Wolverines adamantium is called adamantium beta as when it was bonded with Wolverine its molecular makeup was changed allowing Wolverine to regrow the metal like he would regrow anything else.

The OP healing factor has made Wolverine careless about dodging and parrying attacks, also he let’s anger and rage take him over in a fight more often than not, fights fought enraged and in anger are lost almost every time in real life. If it isnt for logan’s healing factor, Steve would take him with relative ease.

They already fought one on one recently in either Civil War series or Xmen vs Avengers but if it was Civil War believe it was first one however think it was Xmen vs Avenger series because Cap was the aggressor and the dialogue was great until Wolverine ended it very, very, quickly and bloody. He basically ducked after Cap swung and clawed the crap out of Caps ribs in a very bloody and violent way was really devastating. With no healing factor Wolverine just walked away. The dialogue had Wolverine surprised Cap would even try he was totally dominant.

Good fight man, but there are a few things we need to analyze in your fights: 1) You put too much credit on the feats forgetting that the characters also have many bad moments in comics. 2) There are many stupid feats that we shouldn't take them seriously. For a comic book reader, you should know what I mean. 3) There are many characters that have many powers, technique or knowlodge that they don't use very much in comics. Only in especific moments. We must not ignore their modus operandi when they fight. Anyway, about this fight: I can see Captain America being a better hand to hand fighter, being more focus in his fights, a little stronger and a little faster than Wolverine. Not to mention, even Logan's experience being better than Caps, Caps still is smarter and a better strategist than Logan. And his shield could definetely knock out Logan in a long and difficult fight, even if it doesn't kill Logan. However, I think Wolverine's adamantium and healing factor could make Logan resist until he get a clear stab in Steve that would put Steve down. Plus, if somehow Wolverine get into berserker rage, Logan's chance would increase even more.

for my two cents worth.... ...both cap, and wolvey, are similar in physical capabilities, if not attributes, both have great stamina, and exceptional muscular strength... (as stated in this vid, caps stamina is endless, but wolverines healing factor gives him the same advantage), both have mastered many fighting styles, but it'd be fair to say that wolverine most likely knows many more than cap, ...that being said, martial arts are not the end all, be alls, meaning, that any type of kung-fu, could equally battle any type of karate (just for examples), no one style is "better" than another...tho, boxing, wrestling (any grappling really) and melee weapon (swords, hammers, etc...yes training with battle axes and the like is considered a martial art....go look up the meaning of the title..lol), themselves, could be at a distinct disadvantage here... ...but i digress.... wolverines healing factor and adamantium claws and skeleton, do give a large advantage, but steve isn't easy to wound, and even tho he doesn't have a healing factor like wolverine, he does still heal faster than normal humans , so it "almost" balances out... .. they were both soldiers, so have both had training in strategy and leadership, and just by the nature of being soldiers, have killed. BUT, logan was/has been a soldier over many more decades than rogers, uninterrupted, whereas steve had that ice nap, so experience wise, logan is in the lead by leaps and bounds. as for killing, this is where "I" feel logan wins this fight. he by his very nature and temperament, won't balk at maiming, or even killing, an opponent, if need be, although he would try to avoid doing so early in the fight if he can, but won't hesitate when the time comes....steve on the other hand always tries to be non lethal, and avoid permanently injuring his opponents ... ... so unless he's willing to go for the throat in this battle (decapitation), he "WILL" lose. It will be an epic, long lasting struggle, which unless it is held out in the desert or tundra, could conceivably have some nasty collateral damage . ...but wolverine over captain america... indubitably

Shaun New Bedford Good point, but catching the shield is like catching a bullet, highly unlikely. Also, Cap's shield is made of an alloy (composite of vibranium and a stronger version of adamantium). This alloy is stronger than the adamantium fused to Wolverine's bones. Wolverine's skull can be penetrated by an adamantium bullet (ref. Wolverine's origins movie where Wm Stryker was about to shoot him in the head with one until the female mutant stopped him). If Cap's shield is stronger than Wolverine's adamantium, it is stronger than his claws. If Cap hits the claws just right, he can break them; the shield can also crack Wolverine's skull if hit hard enough.

If they were in hand to hand combat i.e. ( winter solider fight...the movie). And I was remembering that he was shot in the head by an Adamantium bullet by wm stryker that's how he forgot who he was..... Wolverine/Logan wins: here's why: Strength he is a little bit stronger and durable thanks to his HF Speed: same Intellect cap is actually less capable because Logan has years of actual experience and knows masterfully how to apply. Thats what years of living can give you. Combat skills, techniques and experience is also Logan he knows every fighting style and more cap may be able to adapt but Lgan does that to with more knowledge of fighting. Abilities. Cap has supersoldier, intuition and ground army training + some spec ops experience but Logan has the same ground army training but way more experience in the field - sec ops experience Logan has that and more Logan has Mutant Abilities that compensate caps intuition and more mutch more and that does not even include healing factor and claws/adimantium coating. Cap may start good but Logan will win.
