I imagine it makes a lot of sense to launch the service without a ton of brand new content. It's basically a stress test. Launch the service, deal with the initial week of glitches, bugs, and slow speeds. Get your servers up to par. You need a couple new originals to draw people in, and Star Wars makes sense as a starting place. A lot of people will come for the classic Disney movie library though. Anyway as technical troubles get smoothed out, new original shows get added to draw new people in with (hopefully) a much smoother, glitch-free experience.

I'm a little confused. Disney+ was explained to be a nostalgia locker at launch and more modern and new content would come in the future. It seems like you went into the service blind and realized it's not for you at this stage of the service. Perhaps you were looking for an end-all, be-all app. Disney+ is not that. It's meant to live next-to/side-by-side to other existing content, like those found on Hulu, or ESPN or for the time being Netflix. But the service will grow and build on its system and platform. So "The Problem with Disney Plus?" is more of, "Here's how I currently feel about Disney Plus - P.S. it's not a problem" Just because your opinion of the service is a negative one, I wouldn't peg it down to saying there's a problem with the service. Hulu + Disney is what most people looking for tbh. Could have easily incorporated all the Disney library to Hulu but I guess it couldn't have gotten traction as Disney+. This is perfect for kids tbh. Garden variety of cartoon but having The Simpsons here is bit out of place.

I'm sure they've done a great job with it, but the great new content will just take time.
@THE_BEAR_JEW5 жыл бұрын
It seems like you're not understanding the criticism to begin with. You think Netflix started as a perfect service? People had their gripes about it. Now, it's so much better than it used to be. You almost make it sound like he didn't bring up valid points.... and you damn well that he did.

@johnconner6025 жыл бұрын
@@THE_BEAR_JEW I disagree. I don't think he brought up many valid points, if any. Disney+ is not for everyone, it's Disney, so, obviously it's all about the Disney movies as well as the other stuff Disney owns like Star Wars and Marvel. And as far as movies go, you can't really get better than this, and people really need to stop complaining about not all the movies being on there yet, there really is nothing they can do about it, just be patient. And the common complaint that they should have waited to release Disney+ is ridiculous. Yes, maybe they released the service before they had enough shows up and running, but there's no need to complain, you would've had to wait for shows like Loki just as long anyways, so why whine about Disney+ being available? You don't need to get it yet. He's going to have to suck it up that Adventures in Babysitting cannot be on the service yet and I'm damn near sure he is just pretending that he likes that movie just so he can complain about it. @Yawn I think you are totally right, no matter how this streaming service turned out, he wouldn't like it. But this is just one persons opinion so what can I say. In my opinion the only reasons to be disappointed are: No "continue watching", some weird site glitches, and no youaregoodwomaniamgoodmanhmm (although I know they could never legally have that). That's my opinion. See ya, chump.
@ambivalo825 жыл бұрын
I pretty much knew what to expect before I subscribed: a ton of existing Disney movies and shows, a portion of which is Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, Fox and National Geographic, and topped off with a small handful of new shows and films. That's what Disney + currently is so I wasn't disappointed. I like having one streaming service that has as much Disney, Star Wars and Marvel content as it does. Some of it I haven't seen in a while (Adventures of the Gummi Bears, for example) and some of it I've never seen (e.g. "The Black Hole" and pretty much all of "Gravity Falls"), and it's great that I have easy access to that stuff. As the service is now, I'm fairly satisfied...for the time being. I do agree, though, it will need to add more new content to keep people hooked. Fortunately, Disney is already working on that. I look forward to the MCU shows.

@@sell2012 True, the service is for documentaries, but the way he segues into the sponsorship bothered me. "I find myself enjoying more niche and curating streaming services like this, this and SPONSOR" and that was right after he talked about "expanding your film vocabulary" That, along with many other points, makes it come across as if he's criticising Disney+ over something it was never designed or intended to provide in order to better justify and promote his sponsor. i.e. "Disney+ is full of bad old movies that you've seen before, If you want something new and challenging try a different streaming service, may i suggest this one that I happened to be sponsored by" Whether intentional or not, this entire video came across as an ad for his sponsor and because of that, I feel it didn't need to be made. It's fair enough that Disney+ isn't for everyone, It's not gonna be my go to streaming service, but to say that Disney+ is bad just because it isn't what you want, is a little unsophisticated for a review. And therefore, I would have rather he shared his thoughts and discussion on The Mandalorian in place of this video, which I feel was unnecessary.
