Don’t be so aggressive on cancelling when things are marginal especially at a single runway uncontrolled airport never know when some idiot pulls out in front of you or a last second shear and now you are trying a go around in rain with low ceiling and possibly not being able to lane at your intended. It really sucks trying to get another popup ifr scudding around low from a busy controller.
@chrisstromberg652717 күн бұрын
I agree, so what if it ties things up for another 2 mins until you’re safely on the ground. We have all been there waiting for the other guy to cancel his IFR clearance and we all understand why we have to wait. It’s just not worth it to cancel at night in marginal VFR conditions while airborne!

I love your videos; they're always exciting and professional. However, your copilot needs to revise ATC readbacks. He's abbreviating way too much and didn't read back the takeoff clearance. Not good!

Why are you holding left aileron on take off? I thought I heard wind 340 @ 8?
I understand that in that type of aircraft, the SIC/copilot does not have to be type rated on the Citation XL as the PIC does. I assume that he/she just needs to be a commercial pilot with a instrument and muli-engine rating?

@@jpilot64 That's the 750 asking if they'd like to suspend the procedure (the approach) or if they'd like to continue missed. You're right that it would be distracting, if you were reading it all the way through every time, but you really don't. The left side say "remain suspended" and the right says "activate missed". You press one and it sequences the whole GPS if need. It seems distracting but is actually very nice once you do it once or twice.

I used to think pilots were mostly open & honest people ...But I can tell you with certainty that might not be the reality anymore I worked for a Tri State Metro area FBO and some time back around 2004 I began to see on a regular basis what even I knew was just simply NOT possible "contrails" DO NOT FORM in the lower altitudes and most certainly do not stretch horizon to horizon and last for hours spreading out to consume a blue sky I'm sorry they just do NOT do that So I purchased the best I could afford Bushnell Binoculars with extreme zoom capability so I could document the aircraft responsible for the contrails and wouldn't you know it they are NOT Flight tracker capable These are NOT passenger aircraft that are destroying the sky the reason this bothers me so is the effects this is having on flight crew people who work in the air all day everyday coming down with debilitating sickness but when I tried talking to some pilots about this they literally Switched off and would not discuss anything other than to say they are contrails But when I mentioned todays modern Jet engines were High By pass turbo fans NOT capable of such contrails they walked away ...And this is the reason these programs have been allowed to continue for going on 30 yrs ...
