Oooh Caramel - So addictive - devine on top of my Apple Tart bake. You will find yourself wanting more and more. So friggin 'delicious!

Recipe:
CARAMEL APPLE TART
Ingredients:
Mix together in a bowl;
5 Apples (peeled, cored and sliced thin)
1 tablespoon cinnamon
3/4 cup water
1 heaping teaspoon cornstarch
zest of half a lemon
Mix together and pour into base crust
BASE CRUST:
1 package of Melba / Toasties (crumbled) using electric mixer
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup sugar
Mix together add 1/2 cup melted butter then place into spring form pan and press bottom
CRUMBLE TOPPING:
Mix together:
2 cups rolled oats
1/4 white flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
CARAMEL TOPPING:
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons butter (if unsalted use 1 teaspoon of salt)
1/2 cup of heavy cream
Bake the tart in a bain marie (maria bath). Use tinfoil to wrap around the springform pan and plan onto a roasting pan. Bake at 375F for an hour to 1hr 20min (pending oven) halfway to baking, place tin foil over top of pan to avoid burning crumble. 20 minutes before done, remove bain marie and add 3/4 of the caramel on crumble and evenly and place back into the oven for the last 20 minutes. Remove, chill completely and add the caramel reserve and serve.
