Toyota's RAV4 compact SUV soft roader has been around so long it's easy to forget quite how far it's come. The fourth generation model launched in 2013 was bigger, better finished and far more efficient. Nor did it forget that that cars in this class need to look good and drive well too. It's a sensible used buy, but also one that might throw up a few surprises.

Hey, just a question about tyres, do you need to make sure all are the same tread depth and make? For example if one got a puncture on a tyre in a partially worn set of tyres, would replacing it with a new tyre with more tread cause issues?

@@katopotato9093 its part time awd so front wears sooner and requires rotating like a fwd car. I'd assume you can get away with swapping 2

How drives in snow is fwd right?

@@Reyland43 fwd drives in snow like any other car, poorly. its the 4wd thats gives grip not the shape

I have a 2015 awd , next to useless as it turns itself off at 30 mph , didn’t realise when I bought it . If it dropped off at 40 it would have been a lot more useful .
