@xchronox03 ай бұрын
@@2LettersSho Nah, you send it over on the turn it would go to 1 oil counter, not 0. Because if it goes to 0 during your upkeep, you lose no matter who controls it. The ability was put on the stack with you as the controller. So "you" will still refer to you. They put it from 2 to 1, then sent it over. Which means Thoralf would automatically lose on his upkeep, no matter how the triggers get stacked.

@@zacharypoplawski1076 No, the combo actually does work. Skill Borrower can’t copy Kiki-Jiki’s passive haste, but his activated ability grants the copy haste. So, as long as the first skill borrower isn’t summoning sick, the loop is functional.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Archfiend Custody combo doesn't work because Thoralf could stack the triggers so that he gives away the Archfiend first and then the oil counters effect resolves, at which point his opponents control the creature and the effect, and they are the ones to lose. If you are confused about this interaction, there was a Magic puzzle video on this same channel where Jamin had to stack effects in a similar fashion to give control of a "bad" trigger to his opponents. I might be wrong, but this is my understanding of controlling effects. Edit: I mean, it WOULD work if the turn they give it away is the same turn the last oil is removed, but it definitely wouldn't work as they think it did at 18:50 Edit: Nevermind, I just found the video I was thinking of and it's not what I remembered. So I am probably wrong and I misunderstood how such effects work. For context, the video is this one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXnSe4OgqcukaNEsi=XSpsc6eoa42pBFof

I love this concept. Right off the bat, you can narrow it down to 42 cards by putting in lands. Neither color does mana well, so grab 8 rocks. Then, hit the card draw card 8 to 10, removal 5 to 6 spot removal and 3 or so big booms like O-stone. Then you have plenty of time to build out the rest of your deck.
@egoalter12763 ай бұрын
You dont want mana rocks or non synergistic removal in 60card constructed. Thats commander logic. 4of a card 60card formats you generally want every card to hold optimal synergy, and you want to play counter pieces like removal in the sideboard. 18 lands is also extremely slim, abd wont be enough for anything that isnr balls to the wall aggro, or mana light combo. Mana rocks are just generally not good in 60 card constructed. You are better off with a utility land or a dork usually. Card advantage is generallx a much tighter issue than in commander. Games last more turns, mana curves are generally lower, players play more cards, there is more hand disruption.
