The speed limit on Japanese motorways is not limited to 60kmh. That is the speed limit on the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway (Shutoko). The Shin-Tomei Expressway speed limit is mostly 120kmh along its length and also part of the Tohoku Expressway. Typically, the speed limit on Japanese expressways (motorways) is 100kmh with some limited to 80kmh. Lorries and ordinary vehicles pulling a trailer of any kind are limited to 80kmh on all expressways unless the speed limit is stipulated lower.
