When you say tiger nuts are the best baits for carp. I keep hearing mixed opinions about tiger nuts, yes they’re very good but I get told that they’re also very bad for carp? Is this true?

It's defiantly about doing your own thing. Adam says he won't bother with clunky snowmen. But that's all Steve Briggs uses as a bottom bait and you know how many fish over 50lbs he has cought. Its what works for you

My PB came on just 2 pieces of corn, on a hair rig, on the bottom, over a small hand full of casters and maggots, about 2 rod-lengths down the margin in a 9ft gully that connected the two ends of the lake. I didn't even have to cast it out, I just dropped it on the spot about a foot or two from the bank and walked it a couple of metres down to the alarms. Most people recommended fishing over a bed of the pellet they're fed on but going against the grain can often produce and it was fishing very hard. It's still the biggest common landed at that lake. I find casters and maggots usually prove irresistible to carp and I use them everywhere I go if I can and often as a hookbait as well. Simple, well executed tactics can often be foolproof. Brilliant content as always from a straight talking, down to earth bloke, invaluable information for beginners to seasoned anglers and anyone in between. It has been a pleasure to watch. Tight lines and best of luck to everyone 👍

Cheers Adam, first time I’ve come across your videos and it’s a real eye opener to me, it really doesn’t have to cost the earth for a good session, only trouble is that a lot of the lakes I fish don’t allow tigers and I dunno why?! I’ve been sat here watching and writing notes. All comes down to the preparation and willingness to try different things and ignore what others are doing and feeling confident. Really enjoyed your videos. Cheers!! By the way - I’d have to take at least two bottles of baileys as although the carp love it, so do I. Thanks 😊

@@carpologytv what would you do in the case of lots of krayfish been present in the lake would a wafter be a better option?
@andrewhudson33523 жыл бұрын
Irrespective of aftertaste preservatives have a negative affect. Digestion in carp is aided by the bacteria in the gut. A preservative prevents the growth of or kills the micro-organisms which are so important to the carp’s ability to digest and make available for absorption the content of the boilies.

DNA bait is my go to, I had a 30 after a 10 year break from fishing, on a clay pit, just found some elusive gravel and had two out, there was 10 of us booked on the lake for 5 nights, I was only there for one night because I had to go, £100 wasted but out of all the other anglers using bait boats etc for the 5 days, I still had the biggest, so DNA all day long, and they were shelf life
@benbrookes24803 жыл бұрын
Loving this video, this whole pop up/Ronnie bollocks that everyone seems to be doing has never really done as well for me, bottom baits blended into loose feed has always worked better personally. A bright pop up hovering above the deck is surely way too obvious and will spook most carp swimming over it

Remember an episode of thinking tackle, where they fished sky lakes in France an typical every one fished the done thing of beds of particles on tight spotted areas, yet he chose to fish strict boilie scattered around, which proved the theory that the continuous done thing on a lake isn't always the best way forward and doing things your own and putting that effort in can bring greater rewards, in that epsiode he absolutely smashed the lake up, compared to everyone else spodding particle, give alot of great knowledge we can all use
@MrCarpking714 жыл бұрын

I hate anglers disturbing the swim,rushing to set up at the first swim.Fixed opinion what the best bait is.Leave all your gear in the car,watch the water and concentrate and get there at first light.I'm a lobworm lover just float fishing can put it in with very little disturbance,they never sense worm as danger.But yeah 100 percent location is the most important thing.I would love to make my videos as good as this :) I've got a video on here how to unhook carp on here i had the fish out too long i won't do that again.Thanks for the great advice

Hi Adam I can relate to what you've said about small single baits...I tried size 10 hook with a single hook bait 8mm wafter instead of heavy baiting...I beat my pb twice in same session...this was on a lake where its heavy on natural food n just wanted try something different from others around me

Adam, wHat an awesome video, thanks for putting it out. I’m of the same generation as you, started carp fishing in the late 80’s, (ok so a bit older) I’ve come back to it over the last year after a 20 year period I fish small qtys of bait in high pressure waters but some of these ideas and thought processes have got me thinking how to catch even more and go against the tide. I love krill, krill powder and tigers, just started using them so this is brill.

Home made Custard powder boilies work every time & don't take a season to break down. Sense of smell is totally different for fish & not necessarily attracted to the same aromas as humans & think bait manufactures are useing to complex mixes to catch the angler's

I don't doubt your sincerity for one second Adam, but if you were working for Nash your liking would be for Nash bait. The problem is, when an angler moves company for whatever reason and talks tackle bait, his credibility is on the line. You only get one chance at being taken seriously, so I hope your recent moves do well for you mate? Best wishes from me.
