I am impressed at how they managed to avoid copyright law by just showing the famous characters we all know and love themself but saying their names wrong.

Honestly it’s kinda annoying. The constant pop culture references just gets on my nerves

@@Axolotl_2347 a massive part of TAOM is that it is a pop culture parody series

That's kinda the point of the series It's about fanart, so obviously you're gonna have a lot of pop culture references. @@Axolotl_2347

The Art of Murder is just another milestone for showing what Indie Animation is capable of. I love how all the characters have distinct art styles of different media and bring together all kinds of genres. You have cartoon, Naruto, Disney Princess and a OC sketch. I love that so much!
@ThenewTchannel8 сағат бұрын
The references they made in the pilot were hilarious. The Toy Story analogy was literally called out by Winn, an "ice queen" princess is mentioned multiple times, Giorgio mentions disdain for a prosecutor character in his game called "Ledgeworth", and Sousuke's show has a spin-off about his son that nobody watches (hint hint)
@bahesb24199 сағат бұрын
When I first watched the pilot I assumed that it took a few months or half a year to make. I was surprised to learn it took 2 YEARS to make it. Never assumed it takes so long to make a pilot.

I was really happy to see The Art of Murder, mainly because I don't think many people really try the "different animation crossover" idea as much as they should. The only ones I can think of that do that are Drawn Together (hated it beyond said crossover premise), and Learning with Pibby (which isn't greenlit, but is still awesome nonetheless). One thing I find interesting in these three medias is that there's at least 1 character that represents Disney (2 princesses, and 1 villain a la Cruella & Ursula, to be exact)
@bahesb24198 сағат бұрын
I don’t think OC is dead because OC is still an idea and you can’t kill an idea. I think he is just trapped inside the ripped page and can’t get out of his own.

"As long as Pip continues to draw you, you'll stay alive!" - Giorgio the detective

What if Pip just draws OC 2.0?
@stardustpie19925 сағат бұрын
I think OC woke up before the others and is somewhere else. He’s the same height as Winn if you include her hat, so Sousuke could’ve mistaken OC for Winn on the second night, and there’s no actual way to tell who or what, if anything, was on the ripped out page because there’s too little of it left. And OC was feeling excited before he went to sleep, which makes it easy to wake up early. Plus, in murder mysteries, if they don’t actually find a body, the victim is probably still alive.
@thecursedqueen91853 сағат бұрын
no,they said characters die if pip give up on drawing them, which I think she's done for OC (at least temporarily)
@WheatleyBotСағат бұрын
@@stardustpie1992didn't Sousuke say that he saw Winn was awake before him, if we say that everyone wasn't lying in that moment then that means he might saw OC not Winn, you might be into something here

CU, there's a highly underrated pilot I just saw, really good, it's called Consequences of the Unlucky, it only has 1 episode, but in the future when they have more episodes, I also think it's cool how it went from a fan comic to it's own original series.

I originally saw the title and thumbnail and was interested mostly because I love murder mystery. After watching it all the characters grew on me fast and found it's less of a murder mystery and more of a set story. Also r.i.p OC, I knew it was Disney, the killer.

I remember when the first time i draw my OC. Eleven years old me still upset that my father dont allow me to watch tv for a week, my brain keep playing the same last week cartoon that myself thought "wait a minute, if my brain can play all cartoon on repeat, why i dont make my own cartoon story" and i start draw my first magical girl during tution night and keep on drawing, making new character and storyline and it took until high school that i made my own Avatar for the internet and got into community collage that teach animation and the rest is history

I didn’t like it, but I respect it. The animation and voice acting and overall premise is amazing, but constant use of pop culture references to the point of not even having a single unique or original character and the mention of funko pops and other junk comes off as annoying and consumerist. Overall I didn’t like but I respect it and hope it gets more episodes in the future.
