Hope you enjoy this, been reading about egypt and was inspired to make this. Personally i don't like the idea of a cashless society today, with the lack of transparency it would cause and the power it would give to banking groups, but then that might just be me!

I think people blame money for a lot of problems when in reality it's people's flaws that cause these problems. They could ruin any system and they do. Let's just try to find the wisest system given this fact but while trying to maximize the freedom of the well intentioned. Right now I think a society with cash is the better option. Money as a concept are practical.

I love the idea in theory, but for that we would need to change our mindset completely... So, as for right now, it is like communism. A good idea which is basically impossible to achieve in reality 🙂🙂🙂

It does seem like something that needs to be taken out of the hands of people so that it would be fair... but an AI running everthing has its own problems!

Well i'd say a cashless society is possible, i mean look at yap, they used giant limestone stones as money!, as for not having a physical tangible medium of exchange, it can definitely be possible, especially with blockchain, which i think is more transparent, BUT the fact that it can be manipulated because we aren't constrained by the physical world it will always be around but i think will kinda be regulated as old but necessary, kinda like cheques.

Agreed. Especially with older generations who still don't use computers and people in the world who have no access to the internet or technology (a friend of mine just came back from liberia and sierra leone, and a huge hospital they were working in had only 3 computers and most ppl did not have a smart phone). If we did suddenly have a cashless society it would cut off a massive amount of people.

Well... Actually that lack of infrastructure in developing countries is going to be reduced in a big way in the coming years mostly due to capitalis. The market in developing countries is expanding a lot, that's why youtube and Facebook released lite version of their apps, (KZbin Go and Facebook lite) in 2017 and last year Facebook wanted to initiate plans to release satellites providing internet in a country I can't remember. In that country there was a survey how many people used the internet vs Facebook, people said they used Facebook more than the internet because to those people, Facebook and all the links you get inside Facebook Is their internet, pretty scary the amount of power they have.

I don't want a cashless society. But I want a CASHless society. No fiat currency, and I love the idea of hard coin currency that carries its own value. Though cards could still be used to manage transactions of coins from one account to the next without having to physically carry it all, but you could of course carry and withdraw coins.

People often say that lybia tried to do this and that thats why Gaddifi was taken down (its a conspiracy theory). It would have been an intresting system, if it had worked.

I prefer a society with money based on valued items.

Bartering would be way better considering the cash has literally ruined everyone’s personality and what they strive for……At least with a bartering system you have to be able to either make or grow something that requires a skill, not just rapping or shaking ass
