I have one this watch all black green display. Change and used Gshock strap..this gshock strap is more expensive price than a watch..😄. It look great...i have one model casio W96H..this watch i buy in 2009..this watch so tough..the bettery still alive till now..but the strap was broken..this watch like to be in war zone i used..still alive..damm...

The straps on Casio digital watches always perish LONG before the watch/battery itself dies. The strap on the DW-291H looks a bit more substantial than the straps on entry-level models like the F91w or the F94w

I absolutely L O V E this watch. It's not overly loaded with features that the average person doesn't need. It has the important functions - Date, time Alarm, stop watch, etc. And the back light is bright and beautiful. Plus water resistant. It's all that a person NEEDS to get through the day. My only problem is trying to decide which two colors of this watch to get. This black one or the one with the gray bezel. Oh....... What the heck...... I'll just by both. Each one to wear for different occasions.

I love this watch. Feature packed, tough, cheap, vintage casio good looks. It is the ultimate beater. I have 2 of them, and I daily them. They are also my go-to for travel. If they break, get lost or stolen, oh well. For $50 CAD I'd just buy another one.

I just got into buying Casio digital watches and was thinking the same thing about G Shocks having a 10 year battery option. My guess is that this would hurt sales of solar, and they want to grow the G Shock solar and atomic time features.

These are the first steps into the rabbit hole of collecting watches, especially Casio. Great video... My Casio DW-291H just arrived in the post today ..Mne cost £34 GBP here in the UK with free delivery (That is $43 USD) You simply can NOT buy a better watch for the same money. I love ALL my Casio watches ( I now have 30 of them) from the F91w to my G Shock watches Just buying ONE more and that will be my Casio watch collection complete (One for every day of the Month) Not sure which one to buy to finish off my watch collection ... Might wait for a new release that catches my eye.

I prefer the good old DW-290 which I unfortunately recently lost. Since it's not manufactured anymore, I had to buy a different one. The new 291 is too big for me and there's too much happening on the screen. The analog clock is pretty much useless. And the watch looks like a spaceship strapped to a wrist

This is not in the gshock line. It's going to be less impact resistant. How much, I'm not sure. The gshock line is built with recessed crystals etc, designed to withstand more. That being said, this is a tough watch. I gave this particular one to my uncle, who while older, has been falling and removing large pine trees from his property (fire damaged). He's been running chainsaw multiple days with this watch, no issues.

The dw291h doesn’t have ABC function. It has a world timer, a stopwatch and a countdown timer with 12/24 time and a calendar and that’s it.
