the greatest thing I've learned over the years about success came to me in two easy steps. 1. Never tell anyone everything you know 2. My interpretation of the intension behind the first nine quotes 10. Having a child is a major life-changing event, so be couscous when you are not ready yet. 9. Unfortunate things happen when you are least expecting it (car gets towed, emergency hospital stay), so live below your means to save some rainy day fond. 8. People are born with different talents, so develop your strength and become a master at that, instead of forcing yourself to become something else just because you think it looks cool. 7. Your roots, where you grow up, define who you are. After a life long journey of trying to understand who you are and where you want to go, in the end you might return to your beginning, finding peace and tranquility. 6. Success at learning is been able to apply what you learned, and that requires mastering the fundamentals. 5. It’s important to view things in different perspectives, because they will gave you different conclusions. A failure could be desirable because what you learned enabled you to become successful. Having only success could be bad, because your first failure might break you. 4. Know what you like and what is compatible to you. Be comfortable with yourself, attract people who enjoy you for who you are, thus you feel comfortable around them. The difference is to differentiate and accept that boy/girl friend of your dream is probably different than who you should marry for life. 3. Focus your attention to produce high quality work, rather than dividing your attention to multiple tasks and ending up with mediocrity. 2. It takes courage to admit your own mistakes, and admitting your mistake shows the other person you are actually listening to his/her ideas.

No one has a clue what they're doing, and no one's path is a straight line trajectory from start to finish. Oftentimes it seems like there's a million things you could be doing but nothing that's just right. But you have to get started before you know exactly where you're going and the goals that you set aren't always destinations, but they are directions, and you can never know what you'll find if you're only looking from where you are right now. If anything, try something new, if only to prove that it's not the right choice, and you'll be amazed at the people you meet, the way your perspectives change, and ultimately what your ambitions and dreams become".

Number 1 really hit home for me. I just experienced going into something (a job) I thought I was going to like and want but immediately realized that it was not what I wanted at all so I quit it and now I know exactly what I want from my job which will help my career and studies. I was expecting all sunshine rainbows for my career but this was my first job and I already messed my career up. So instead of thinking about it negatively, I think about it as a learning experience for the future and now I know what to expect for that type of job and not to be uncomfortable with knowing that I don't want something, even if it is a job. So yeah, don't be afraid to try new avenues and do different things because that's the only way you're gonna know what is it that you really want.
