Dude serious question I have a 2012 Audi a7 I'm In nj I can't afford the rebuild but l'm being sold a 3.0 from a 2011 a6&and a2013 s5 both running engines Are there any difference in the a6,s5 or a7 with the 3.0v6? Is it just a a matter of utilizing the a7 harness ( in my case) and all The sensors from original engine of the a7? Like any info man I appreciate it

@@AudiC7Owners Drinks oil and coolant that I have to top off every two weeks. With fault codes High cylinder and Cylinder Six that I have to reset with my OBDEleven every so often. I’ve replaced APR ignition coils with NGK which helped a little. On high acceleration I see white smoke 💨 but it’s not blue as you refer too. My mileage is about the same as yours.

If it is drinking coolant you need to get it insisted ASAP. Could be a bad pcv, or bad intercooler cores among other things. I wouldn't be driving it hard until I figured out the issue.

Sorry for your C7s demise. Just saw your video and looks like I was reliving my unfortunate catastrophic engine failure a few months back also. Was doing a pull and the same exact same thing happened to my A6 C6 3.0T. Crossed my fingers hoping maybe burned coils, spark plugs or even valves. Nope, fused piston with cylinder 4. 😞 My car has aprox 90 thousand miles. Still really affected by this. Many thousands of dollars spent for stage 2 plus down the drain. Looking forward for more content with your build.👍

(I am a rookie but wanting to learn ) I am curious if you have heard anything else about other brands supercharger kits for the 3.0T I saw Verkstart makes a whipple charger kit. Cylinder 5 is absolutely a common culprit when it comes to 3.0T failures, but usually it is from a fueling issue... that's not what happened on my car. I'm looking forward to seeing what we can do with the rebuilt engine though.

Honestly really cool that you’re trying so hard not to place blame on anyone involved. But to be honest it probably was the fault of the tuning or the supercharger, excessive boost pressures and aggressive timing will blow rings faster than anything else you can do to a motor. It’s really unfortunate, but stock components can only take you so far with these. As soon as you finished your story about what happened I was like “he had to have blown his rings” and came down here to say just that, but I decided to be smart and watch the whole video. Anyways, congrats and condolences man, love what you do. Keep up the good work.

That's shitty that this happened, but modifying our cars is always a gamble. I'm a new owner of a 15 Q7 S-line, which seems to be the neglected platform when it comes to 3.0T parts. I'm glad we have some aftermarket stuff, but hoping some of the new stuff that may be on the horizon can transfer over to that platform as well. I've watched many of your vids already just to get to know this engine better and I appreciate your thoroughness and knowledge. Good luck with the rebuilt engine man.

Prototype system and tune, car has a bunch of miles. I don't think this warrants any drama. Think of 2Js and RBs in the 90s, how many of those were blown in the pursuit of power, this was 100% going to happen, period. Drama in situations like these just means less people/companies want to work with others to advance the platform. I think you made it pretty clear that you were ready with a donor engine in the event things went wrong. I would gladly blow my motor to be part of something big like this. 2013 S5.

Cam just rebuild it and shine that light on the haters, don't feel bad mines down too, coolant mixing with oil and I got no lift to get it up and get the front clip off to change waterpump and oil cooler.

Sounds like you have a PCV issue. Could be the oil cooler but if your PCV is old I'd start there. What car do you have? Shouldn't have to remove the front clip to do water pump or the oil cooler.

034 is developing injectors to kinda make this supercharger kind of obsolete. The big issue we know is fueling and the ring landings and we have reached those limits on the stock charger?

Dude, this absolutely sucks. You have a high-mileage car, but you've been maintaining it so well that it almost doesn't factor. That being said, mechanical fatigue is a thing, and maybe putting on a different supercharger on an engine that hasn't been prepped for it properly (new seals, check for cracks, etc.) was risky. I don't wish this on anyone, and it sucks. I can't shake the feeling that adding this supercharger was, in fact, the end of the engine because, as many others have said, APR gave up on a bigger supercharger years ago for this very reason. You absolutely cannot add a different supercharger with different boost characteristics to the 3.0 TFSI engine without putting in some forged components. It's not my opinion, it's from people and large tuning houses that have done this before. I have no doubt that you'll come back stronger, but folks need to realize that the 3.0 TFSI Supercharged engine, with a dual pully setup running on E85 is the utter limit for these engines in their stock form. Want faster? Buy something faster. We have reached PEAK with these motors.

I completely disagree. Plenty of people have been running the Magnuson 1740 and Whipple units on 3.0Ts on stock blocks for years without issues. Jackal just put out numbers on the MRA1900 that look amazing. Killer power throughout the entire rpm band and they are starting 1/4 mile tests soon. Our oem connecting rods are forged. Pistons aren't but I had no piston damage. No cracks in the cylinder either. No one is running e85 on dual pulley cars except for a very small handful of vehicles with very specialized setups. Hopefully that changes soon because once we have a fueling solution for E85, the MRA1900 is going to put down some serious numbers. Also, people with Turbo conversions on the 3.0T have seen 750whp on stock engines without failure.
