We are catching and cooking burbot on Lake Nipissing, Ontario. This fish goes by many names (ling cod, ling, eel pout, etc). With more than a little help from Lake Nipissing Ice Fishing Charters we get onto perch, walleye, and some big burbot!

It's been years since I ate burbot. I am just getting back into ice fishing this year and may try some night fishing for these. We used to use the Ling Chowder recipe off the back of the trout charts given out by the MNR . Delish.

Out past Deepwater Point. I've also heard that the Manitou's are good for ling, as well as the South Shore in the mouth of Callander Bay at the right time of year.
