Struck with hunger and stuck with no cooking tools, the bushcraft pair catch and cook trout on the shores of Grizzly Lake.

Greg is a self-taught survivalist from Canal Flats, British Colombia, who, since he was a boy, has read nearly every book on the topic. When he is not out in the wilderness, he is a professional dry-waller. He started his first bow drill fire when he was thirteen and spent the next forty years learning bushcraft and studying plants and edibles. He has even developed some of his own survival techniques and is a skilled hunter with both a bow and a slingshot.

I’ve noticed that Greg, even when he thinks he is complaining, he still remains a positive person through out. I would have screamed at the wind nine times by now. I’m ready to do my own challenge .... last time I did something like this we kayaked to an island and survived for 4 days we brought liquor n weed tho lol but we built our shelters and caught our food for the most part but we brought enough stuff to have fun and still eat if we didn’t do great which we did but now these guys have so much more knowledge and ideas that I’ve learned

I really enjoy watching!!! I'm a first nation from ontario and my uncle lived the lifestyle here. My grandfather built an off the grid house and we've learned how to make due with what we had. One of my favorite things to eat during the hard times was pemican. Smoked/dried fish beaten till it was almost like a powder, dried blueberries and wild strawberries, brown sugar, salt and other dehydrated vegetation. Perfect for the days you get skunked or buried for the winter months. Keeps very well for a long time.
