We finally get back down to the coast to catch some blue crabs and have a much better trip this time. We are slowly learning how to catch crabs by hand line.

Looks good. My son loved to fish, eat fish and boiled shrimp. When he was 5 or 6 he was eating boiled shrimp and got stuck in finger some part of the shrimp. Couple hours later he broke out in a rash his tongue and throat started swelling. Had to take to doctor. Hes allergy to all shell fish and fish. He not only can't eat them he can't touch them. He loves to fish but has to wear gloves and take benadryl before he goes. He can't even touch a bag that has fish or shrimp in it. Can't eat anything that was fried in oil that shrimp or fish was. Hes 29 now but still fishes every chance he gets. Love watching ya'lls adventures.

I just went crabbing in cape cod. Let me tell you… they’re absolutely delicious. We used raw chicken legs on fishing line. When we felt them grabbing the chicken we’d pull up the line and scoop them with a net. I could crab all day , we had an absolute blast.

When it comes back to a boil after you add the crabs then let it boil 2 mins and then 10 min rest. With some vinager I the water you will have perfect crabs. Try it you won't be disappointed.

Uh. . .Silver Queen corn grows EVERYWHERE. It is delicious. But here in Pennsylvania, we prefer an SH2 cultivar that is much sweeter than Silver Queen. Something like "How Sweet It Is!" "Honey and Pearl" or "New Mama". That sweetness makes the Low Country Boil even better. Thanks for the video!

Kinda did the same with crawdad. But I used a bamboo stick I found n bent a lil ol' minnow net n duct taped the heck outta it to use as a net. We caught em off a small bridge in Abilene Tx with my dad (staying out in a RV where he worked just a block or so from a lil park with a pretty deep creek)..he always laughed at my little contraptions but they worked. We used bacon tied on the string with a lil weight. This video brought back so many memories 💜 He passed on 6-18-21. This just made my day thinking about all the fun.💜💜🎣🎣🎣 Gonna keep watching for new vids💜💜 awesome job...hungry now too🤣😁🎣🎣

Great video! Wish I could catch blue crabs that fast:) They don't run that heavy in here in Delaware unless you just happen to hit the right day. Would have loved to join you in that crab boil! Just a friendly tip: Put an old bath towel on top of the bag of ice in the cooler. Place the crabs on top of the bath towel and leave the cooler lid a jar a bit so they can get some fresh air. You'll lose less crabs that way!

I know everybody has their own family recipe for seafood boils, but that's exactly how I would have done it except I add onions too. Cut them in half length wise and leave the fuzzy end on the onion and it will stay together even in a rolling boil. Every now and then if I'm in the mood I'll add whole mushrooms in, they soak up the seasoning really well. I know it's all about the seafood, but sometimes the humble corn hits my spot almost as hard as the crab/crawfish/shrimp does! Soaking up that delicious seasoning!! HaHa! Looked delicious though! Earned a sub! I haven't had blue crab in like 20 year's tho =(
@TKOutdoors
@TKOutdoors 4 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean about soaking up seasoning. The corn is probably my favorite part as well. I'm not a huge fan of mushrooms, but my wife loves them. I think mushrooms do a wonderful job of soaking up seasonings, I'll think about tossing a few in next time. Thanks for watching and subscribing!

Wow nice video. Not sure where you are but I'm looking for a nice spot to go crabbing in Florida such as areas from St.Marks to Port St.Joe. Any recommendations

Is there no size limit there

No there isn't, they are quite abundant here. Other types of crabs have stricter regulations.

Don’t you need to measure them to see if they are legal to keep?

Thanks Danny! I'm using a go pro hero 7 black. Its a great camera and really easy to use, I just wish it had a good zoom. That's me just being picky though.

If they die while there on ice Im pretty sure there still good to eat bc they was alive when u cought them bubba!

Everything I've read says no, bacteria start breaking the meat down as soon as 15 minutes after dying. Being that I don't know when they die and it could be hours before I get home and cook them, I'd rather not risk it.
