Catfishing on Watts Bar Lake

Hey guys, me and my buddy Steve Douglas did a little cat fishing on Watts Bar lake this past weekend. We didn't get any giants, but we caught a few smaller fish. Thanks for watching.

Much respect for both you dudes. Noticed you using rattles on your rig, can you tell me when is a good condition to use them and maybe some conditions that they don’t work so well in?

I like them more so on slack water. I.e ponds lakes or low flow open blowouts on big rivers. With live bait. With all that said, I very rarely ever put the extra effort in to do it. I don't see enough of a correlation between rattles vs no rattles to make it worthy, I fish tons of structure also, and most break offs equal a $10 bill floating down the river when your rig looks like a Christmas tree with all the "ornaments" hanging off of it.

Hard to say bro, right now the river is not in very good condition, and we are supposed to get more rain which is going to bring it up again. I would say the lakes will be the best bet, but keep an eye on the weather.

I believe so, there are signs by the boat ramp warning of contamination on Watts Bar, but I am sure some folks eat them anyway.
