Oh Cat!! My late husband and I drove that area so often and mostly on a motorcycle! In fact we traveled the last time in 2016. On the way home, an elderly lady with dementia and medical issues passed out behind the wheel and hit us head on. My husband did not make it. I was broken in over 20 places. I cried thru this whole video. This was “our place” to get away from the brutal Oklahoma summers in late August. Thank you for sharing. ❤❤❤

I live in Colorado Springs, it is getting very busy but we do have the option to leave town anytime we want being retired. People are friendly here and prices are high. Ha, but aren’t they everywhere? Our weather is mild to me compared to NH where I grew up and lived for 52 years married. Snow comes and goes from March thru April usually. Hiking everywhere and lots of skiing if you want to drive two hours. I love it here and have been here in winters for twenty years so I have seen the influx of people moving here. Denver I stay away from. Ah! I love Ouray Colorado and hiking there. A beautiful video showing the beauty of Colorado.

We are 70 and 72 and traveled for 61 days this spring in April and May around the US and Canada. Hauled a teardrop trailer w/wet bath and inside kitchen. Put 11,000 miles on the truck with a cap so we could haul extra gear. Way to many campgrounds (39 during those 2 months). We did manage to stay for 9 nights in Colorado, 4 different campgrounds (2 nights near Durango). We managed to get to Silverton and Ouray from Durango on the 2nd time we tried. The 1st day there was to much snow and slush on the road and had to turn back before we got to Siverton, plenty of years of experience driving in and on snow living in Maine but nope the 1st day was a no go. Had a great time the 2nd day however in those 2 towns. We need to travel less miles and stay in one place longer but there is so much to see across the US and Canada! Travel safe.
