Despite one driver being caught two days in a row, the consistent bus lane enforcement does actually appear to be showing improvements, with a reduction in the number of cars and motorcycles seen inside the EDSA bus lane - at least during certain hours.

They seem to think that enforcers are required to wait for someone to come out and move an illegally parked car. And that if someone arrives to move the car, it shouldn't be ticketed. Obviously that's not the case, otherwise people would be parking illegally every day, without any worry - since they would know they can just move it without penalty, if ever an enforcer comes. When the alleged driver finally came out, he said he will not give his license and that the enforcer should just take a picture of the car. When he realized the ticket had been issued, that's the time he reacted like what you heard in the video. Many people will recognize the enforcer that was being shouted at, because he's often receiving positive comments about being so hard working and pleasant on the road. The enforcer was polite the whole time and he didn't even react to the bad things being said to him. He followed all of the standard protocols which have been implemented in thousands of previous apprehensions. It's not only the enforcer that had a challenging time. . When one of the men asked me a question and I tried to respond, the other guy walked over and shouted at me to "shut up" and then started waving his hand in my face. That's why I was surprised when he was trying to give advice to the enforcer about "next time". Their initial argument was that it's not a sidewalk, and that the gutter in the road is the sidewalk - obviously that is incorrect. After that, they said that someone from the Barangay allegedly told them it's okay to park there. Whether that's true or not - any licensed driver would know that you're not allowed to park on the sidewalk.

Including a kind of debrief where I talk about what happened, the challenges that enforcers face every day etc etc. I talked it through with my friends, actually for two days straight, because I was so upset about what happened to the enforcer. I always tell people not to post anything when your emotions are high. I'm following my own advice. I'll be honest, even now, when I watch back the video and see the enforcer with his shoulders slumped and his head down, in the middle of the street, it still hurts. All because of a simple ticket for parking on the sidewalk.

It's tough to watch, but it's a part of their job. I'm grateful that the enforcer team is there to maintain order and ensure the safety of the drivers.

@@alpineassault yun nga po ang nakaka inis, ilang beses ko na po naexperience sa mga fast food na may senior citizen lane, so hindi ka pipila doon dahil alam mo na priority lane yun pero itong senior sisingit sa unahan ng regular lane tapos sasabihan sila ng kahera doon po ang senior lane dahil andoon yung discount counter nila, aba biglang mag tataas ng boses na akala mo sila lang ang tao sa mundo na may pangngailangan! Hindi maka intindi parang gusto sila palagi ang tama. Hindi man lang nag excuse or nag sabi dun sa nakapila basta feeling entitled sila! Diko naman minamasama at dahil nga matatanda na sila ay palaging pinag bibigyan na lang pero minsan nakaka bwisit talaga.

I always appreciate it how you explain things in your videos (50 people bus vs 1 passenger car). Thank you for posting daily. I consider your uploads as ASMR videos making me concentrate while working. Take care man! 💪 P.S: The people at last part of the video seems very abusive. I hope this is escalated. You dont bad mouth people for just doing their job. "Inutil" is such a degrading work coming from someone that has a garage but tended to block the sidewalk.

It's mind-boggling how some people still don't understand that parking on some streets is illegal. Even more bothering is how crass and disrespectful they are in the face being lawfully apprehended for their violation. MMDA cannot do this alone. Local government must also actively enforce traffic laws in order to instill discipline in the citizenry.

I really appreciate your channel. Maybe in few years people will start to understand how important is parking only where it is allowed. And also what the importance of wearing a crash helmet. I lived in California the last 23 years until now but I go home every year and I can really tell the deference between US drivers and Philippine drivers. Continue you good work my friend.

We seriously need to get some American police to teach us how to be brutal. In the US, if you obstruct, they’ll break the window, drag you out, rough you up a bit, take you to jail, then impound the car, give you a fine, make you do community service.

Long time watcher and follower, first time commenting. Love your videos. I would like to know when cars and motorbikes are impounded in the clearing operations. Would you be able to show the impou d yard/s. Also, I would like to know how they get vehicles off the flat beds once in the impound yard. I see a lot of cars with either the park brake on getting dragged up onto the flat beds. You can clearly see the wheels locked and yet they are dragged on the flat beds. How do they get those cars off tue flat bed when wheels are locked due to park brakes.

Been passing through Congressional Avenue corner EDSA and they made it a Bus Terminal causing traffic. I see MMDA enforcers guiding cars to pass through 1 lane of 3, which is 2 lane occupied by the busses. The tail of the traffic is also reaching EDSA which causes heavy trafic in EDSA during rush hours. I'm seeing this as a selective traffic rule enforcement by the MMDA by allowing parked busses to occupy lanes for vehicles and also the bike lane.

Unfortunately, a single enforcer can’t fix that. If a single enforcer tries to fix that, he will end up in the hospital. There is a “syndicate” who operate those “terminals”.

I will acknowledge the efforts shown in your videos. Hope it extends to evening monitoring of EDSA because when the enforcers are not seen in the evening, that is when they use the bus lane. Maybe do an evening operation special of MMDA does do it?

6:20 - The reason they activate the hazard lights is to tell people they are on an "emergency". Sort of like simulating an emergency lights from police vehicles or ambulances.

Yes it's true. There are many ambulances that are used as express taxis or just general use vehicles. In fact during the time that HPG started cracking down on escorts, we saw a big increase in the misuse of ambulances. The problem is that if enforcers flag down every ambulance, they could potentially delay one that's involved in a legitimate emergency. And ultimately it's going to be hard either way to prove who is or isn't responding to some kind of emergency.
